Hakan SevenandClaude Fable 5 e7eb84b514 feat(pedit): convert prompt, join, fit/spline/decurve; join fixes (#263)
PEDIT reworked around a mode machine:

- Picking a line/arc asks "Object is not a polyline. Turn it into one?
[Yes/No] <Y>" — Yes converts in place (arc keeps its bulge) and
editing continues on the result. Pickfirst: an already-selected
polyline skips the select step, a selected line/arc goes straight to
  the convert prompt.
- Join gathers with the normal selection system (single picks AND
window/crossing boxes) and merges through the JOIN machinery.
- Fit replaces every segment with a classic equal-parameter BIARC: two
arcs per segment meeting tangentially at an inserted knee, both
segments at a vertex sharing that vertex's tangent — the whole run is
tangent-continuous (verified: zero tangent jump on L/closed/zigzag/S
shapes). Spline resamples the vertex frame as a uniform cubic
B-spline (8 samples per span); Decurve straightens every bulge.
- Earlier hardening kept: undo snapshot before the mutation, immediate
  repaint, polyline-only pick validation.
- Vertex editing lives on grips, so no Edit-vertex submode; instead the
vertex grip hover menu gains Break — a closed polyline opens at the
vertex, an open one splits into two (interior vertices only),
handled driver-side as an entity replacement.

JOIN itself: segs_of now emits one segment per span of an OPEN
polyline (bulges kept), so polylines merge with their neighbours —
PEDIT Join's set always contains the target polyline and used to abort
every time; plain JOIN had the same gap. JOIN also honours pickfirst:
launched with two or more objects selected it joins them immediately.

Closes #263

Hakan SevenandClaude Fable 5 b5dbef5776 feat(props): editable block Name row + collapsible XYZ groups
- Block reference Name (Misc) is editable: the dropdown re-points the
insert to another definition; typing a new name renames the definition
everywhere (record re-key, Block marker, every INSERT reference).
Anonymous (*) and xref blocks stay read-only, with the same guards
  added to Scene::rename_block.
- Custom single-control dropdown (text field + caret) built on the
shared floating_below overlay so the list always opens downward,
  unlike iced's space-based menu placement.
- Consecutive "<Base> X/Y/Z" rows (Position, Scale, Start, Center, ...)
collapse into one expandable summary row across all entities; the
expand state persists across rebuilds and selection changes.
- The BEDIT block tab no longer offers the layout Rename/Delete
  context menu.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 22059e138c feat(hatch): editable pattern props + origin grip
Merge duplicate Type into pattern_type; Type/Associative/Island detection as dropdown/toggle; Angle/Scale/Spacing/Origin X-Y editable; Color via picker. Reorder Pattern group, drop redundant Color/Transparency/Layer override and the Misc section. Wire the pattern origin (per-line base_point) into the render (x0/y0 relative to world_origin) so it affects dashed/offset patterns; add a circle origin grip at the hatch centroid (new GripShape::Circle).

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 b3c8c0a2f1 feat(properties): navigate polyline vertices from the panel
The Current Vertex row is now a ◀ / ▶ stepper (new PropValue::Stepper)
showing "i / N". Stepping it moves the panel's focus through the
polyline's vertices — Vertex X/Y and the per-vertex start/end widths show
and edit the focused vertex instead of always the first — and the focused
vertex's grip is drawn hot (filled) in the drawing so it's visible while
navigating. Focus wraps around and resets to the first vertex when the
selection changes. Adds Area and Length to the LwPolyline Geometry group
(Polyline2D already had them). Applies to LwPolyline and Polyline2D.

The focused vertex is threaded to the per-entity property builder/editor
through a dispatch thread-local (like the curve-tolerance override), so
the PropertyEditable trait signatures are unchanged.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 5f2e920b75 feat(properties): show & edit block attributes in panel
Selecting an INSERT with attributes now adds an editable "Attributes"
section to the Properties panel — each tag is a row whose value can be
changed inline (Enter commits, undo works, the attribute text repaints).
Previously attribute values could only be reached through ATTEDIT, which
didn't let them be changed (#192).

Attribute tags are runtime strings, so they can't ride the geometry
edit path whose field key is `&'static str`; a dedicated PropValue::
AttrText variant plus PropAttrInput/PropAttrCommit messages carry the
tag. Values are stored verbatim (no expression evaluation, since
attribute text is free-form).

Also guard the panel's in-progress edit buffer: it now only carries
across a rebuild when the selection is unchanged (a commit-triggered
refresh), so a typed-but-uncommitted value can't display or commit onto
a different entity — e.g. two title blocks sharing a REV1 tag. This
closes a latent stale-buffer leak that affected geometry fields too.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 4f7a98a2ad feat(f64): command layer compiles on DVec3
Whole command/snap/grip/cursor chain now builds on f64 DVec3 end to end,
so picked points, snaps and grip drags stay precise at UTM-scale
coordinates instead of quantizing to ~0.5 m through f32.

- All ~80 command files migrated: draw (line/circle/arc/ellipse/shapes
in full f64; others via point methods), modify, annotate, insert, view,
  inquiry, layers, groups, clipboard, layout.
- Entity apply_grip impls updated for GripApply::{Absolute,Translate}(DVec3).
- Construction sites (EntityTransform/CmdResult/DynAnchor) emit DVec3;
wire-preview boundaries cast to f32 only at the GPU edge.
- Modify/annotate commands keep internal Vec3 geometry where precision is
non-critical, casting at the DVec3 boundary; key draw commands store f64.

Builds clean (no warnings). Visual verification of crosshair/snap/grip at
extreme UTM zoom pending.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 3da71698b1 wip(f64): convert command layer to DVec3 (in progress)
Migrate the command/snap/grip/cursor chain from f32 Vec3 to f64 DVec3 so
picked points, snaps and grip drags stay precise at UTM-scale coordinates
(f32 quantizes to ~0.5 m there).

Done so far:
- command/mod.rs: EntityTransform, CmdResult points, CadCommand point
methods, TangentObject already DVec3 (radius f64).
- snap: SnapResult.world DVec3; world_to_screen/try_pt DVec3.
- GripApply -> DVec3; grip find/state (GripEdit) f64; camera
  pick_on_plane_f64 / pick_on_target_plane_f64; scene paper_to_model_f64.
- update.rs click + mouse-move + grip-drag pipelines route precise DVec3
to on_point/on_preview_wires/on_entity_pick; ortho/polar cast at the
  UcsXform boundary only.
- cmd_result dispatch, transform helpers, dimension/arc/circle/multileader
apply_grip, circle/arc/ellipse/shapes draw commands, array modify.

Tree does NOT compile yet (~236 errors remain across modify/annotate/
insert command files + entity apply_grip impls); committed at user request
to checkpoint progress.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 7fe7e0230d refactor(scene): group modules into role-based subfolders
Move the 30 flat modules under src/scene/ into six folders by role:
convert (entity→geometry), text (fonts/shaping), model (render models),
pick (hit-test/selection/grips/xclip), view (camera/transform/render),
cache (block + property caches). pipeline/ is unchanged.

Full path migration — all `scene::X` references become
`scene::<group>::X`, no compatibility re-exports. render.rs items that
were `pub(super)` (parent was scene) become `pub(in crate::scene)` to
keep their original scene-wide visibility.

No behavior change; build and tests are green.
