Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 df0e283eba feat(commands): interactive value prompts for PDMODE/PDSIZE/LTSCALE/CELTSCALE (F4)
Bare PDMODE / PDSIZE / LTSCALE / CELTSCALE now enter a generic
ValuePromptCommand front-end that prompts for the value and delegates to the
existing inline `<name> <value>` handler via CmdResult::Dispatch, so they
prompt step-by-step like UCS. A bare Enter reports the current value;
`PDMODE 3` still works as one typed / headless line.

Only pure single-value setting commands are converted. Dialog-opening
commands (LAYER, PURGE, DIMSTYLE, STYLE …) intentionally keep their
bare-name behaviour (open the panel), and subcommand-tree commands keep
their inline handlers — all already typable with arguments since F1.

Adds headless test value_prompt_commands_inline_args. Fourth phase of the
unified step driver.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 36d2f33301 feat(ucs): interactive UCS command — UCS Z 90 typable everywhere (F2, #169)
Bare `UCS` now enters an interactive front-end (UcsCommand) that gathers the
option then its value as separate steps, instead of the command line
submitting `UCS` alone on the first Space. The front-end delegates execution
back to the existing inline `UCS <option> …` handler via a new
`CmdResult::Dispatch(String)`, so the coordinate-system math and the
save/persist path are untouched.

Now `UCS Z 90` works the same from the command line (Space-separated),
headless automation, and any source that feeds the active command — closing
the input half of #169. Inline `UCS Z 90` (one-shot / paste) still hits the
inline handler directly.

Second phase of routing input sources through the unified step driver: the
interactive command is driven by feed_command like any tool. Adds headless
test ucs_interactive_inline_args.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 5fdd212592 refactor(commands): unified StepInput → feed_command step router (F0)
Introduce the single place every input source funnels through to drive the
active command's step machine: a `StepInput` vocabulary (one variant per
`CadCommand::on_*` method) and `OpenCADStudio::feed_command`, which routes
the input to the matching `on_*` and applies the result. Sources keep their
own classification (raw input → which StepInput); only the routing is
centralized.

Migrate the headless automation feeder onto it: feed_active_cmd builds a
StepInput, the terminator sends StepInput::Enter. No behavior change —
automation_ops_round_trip still passes.

Also fixes headless inline-argument loss for plugin commands (#162):
run_headless now offers the whole line to plugin dispatch first (plugins
parse their own inline args, e.g. `HC_PIPE 2B 2C 1.25 0.013`), falling back
to the first-word + fed-tokens path for built-in interactive tools.

First phase of routing all input sources (command line, dynamic input,
plugin API, viewport clicks) through one driver.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 3da71698b1 wip(f64): convert command layer to DVec3 (in progress)
Migrate the command/snap/grip/cursor chain from f32 Vec3 to f64 DVec3 so
picked points, snaps and grip drags stay precise at UTM-scale coordinates
(f32 quantizes to ~0.5 m there).

Done so far:
- command/mod.rs: EntityTransform, CmdResult points, CadCommand point
methods, TangentObject already DVec3 (radius f64).
- snap: SnapResult.world DVec3; world_to_screen/try_pt DVec3.
- GripApply -> DVec3; grip find/state (GripEdit) f64; camera
  pick_on_plane_f64 / pick_on_target_plane_f64; scene paper_to_model_f64.
- update.rs click + mouse-move + grip-drag pipelines route precise DVec3
to on_point/on_preview_wires/on_entity_pick; ortho/polar cast at the
  UcsXform boundary only.
- cmd_result dispatch, transform helpers, dimension/arc/circle/multileader
apply_grip, circle/arc/ellipse/shapes draw commands, array modify.

Tree does NOT compile yet (~236 errors remain across modify/annotate/
insert command files + entity apply_grip impls); committed at user request
to checkpoint progress.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 0c2a97e17e feat(ucs): build axis-aligned shapes in the active UCS
Commands that construct geometry with implicit axis directions ignored
the UCS, so a rectangle drawn under a rotated UCS came out world-aligned.
Give commands the UCS and build square to it:

- CadCommand::set_ucs(Mat4) (UCS→wire affine, default no-op); the host
pushes the current UCS via App::push_ucs_to_cmd before each point /
preview / text dispatch (DocumentTab::ucs_wire_affine, identity outside
model space). New axis-aligned commands just override set_ucs.
- RECT (two-corner) and RECT_CEN (center) place their derived corners on
  the UCS axes (ucs_box_corners / ucs_box_around_center).
- ARRAYRECT row/column offsets run along the UCS axes.

RECT_ROT, POLYGON, and ELLIPSE already take their orientation from picked
points, so they need no change.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 8c48233dcf merge: TEXTEDIT command + TEXTEDITMODE sysvar (#130)
Merge PR #130 (KarimJerbi) and resolve review findings:

- Conflict (settings.rs): keep current persisted-settings layout, append
  texteditmode field.
- Conflict (command/mod.rs): keep both new CmdResult variants — main's
  live-entity ops and the PR's text-edit suspend/resume.
- Bug: invalid TEXTEDITMODE value no longer aborts via the Measurement
arm; it now re-prompts with the error and stays active.
- Dedup: single parse_texteditmode() helper replaces the value parsing
  duplicated across commands.rs, settings.rs and textedit.rs.
- Strip trailing whitespace.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 02b0fc4dcf chore: drop brand names and orphaned PICK_HIGHLIGHT colours
Neutralise vendor references in comments to plain behavioural descriptions
(object acquisition / object snap). Remove the PICK_HIGHLIGHT and
PICK_HIGHLIGHT_DIM wire colours: their only consumer was the stripped
storm-sewer add-on, and the retained plugin acquisition pathway draws the
ObjectPick snap glyph and per-command hover previews instead, so the
constants are dead.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 5a36494ed7 chore: clear compiler warnings
Remove accidental dead code (unused imports, the superseded paste tool()
helper, a never-read TORIENT handles field, a duplicate let binding, an
unneeded mut) and mark intentional-but-unwired scaffolding with
allow(dead_code): the web-only save_to_bytes, the plugin loadable() probe,
the planned PICK_HIGHLIGHT colours, the DynFieldSpec label, and the layout
ribbon helpers. Native build is now warning-clean apart from the upstream
nom/quick-xml future-incompat notices.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 188d310789 feat(pline): create polyline as a live entity so it snaps while drawing
The polyline was only committed to the document on finish, so its partial
geometry produced no snap points — you could not snap to vertices already
placed. Publish it as a real LwPolyline at the second vertex and replace
its geometry in place as later vertices land, so it lives in the document
(and the snapper) throughout the draw.

New CmdResult::CommitLiveEntity / UpdateLiveEntity{finish} plus a
set_live_handle() hook let a command own an entity mid-run. The create
pushes a single undo snapshot; in-place updates push none, so the whole
object reverts as one unit. Updates preserve the entity's handle and
layer (a fresh built entity carries a NULL handle that would desync it
from the document map key and drop it from rendering). (#119)

Karim Jerbi 9a258f29ce feat: implement TEXTEDIT command and TEXTEDITMODE system variable
- Adds TEXTEDIT command to seamlessly edit annotation objects in-place.
- Matches industry-standard CAD tools' prompt behavior and "Current settings" banner logic.
- Implements the TEXTEDITMODE system variable (0/1) for Multiple vs Single editing modes.
- Enhances command lifecycle with CmdResult::SuspendForTextEdit and post_editor_closed hooks, allowing commands to cleanly pause and resume after external UI editors close.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 3666c7fa69 refactor(modules): rename home module to draw, restore first-tab order
The Home tab was already titled "Draw"; rename the module to match:
folder modules/home → modules/draw, HomeModule → DrawModule, id "home"
→ "draw". The inner draw/ command folder is kept (modules::draw::draw).

Update build.rs PRIORITY ("home" → "draw") so the tab returns to the
front of the ribbon; registry.rs regenerates accordingly.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 7fe7e0230d refactor(scene): group modules into role-based subfolders
Move the 30 flat modules under src/scene/ into six folders by role:
convert (entity→geometry), text (fonts/shaping), model (render models),
pick (hit-test/selection/grips/xclip), view (camera/transform/render),
cache (block + property caches). pipeline/ is unchanged.

Full path migration — all `scene::X` references become
`scene::<group>::X`, no compatibility re-exports. render.rs items that
were `pub(super)` (parent was scene) become `pub(in crate::scene)` to
keep their original scene-wide visibility.

No behavior change; build and tests are green.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 1a9844b134 feat(dynamic-input): shared angle reference + sign handling
Make angle display, sign and the polar guide reference part of the
common infrastructure instead of per-command logic:

- DynSpec.ref_point now drives the polar guide's reference direction, so
the arc and value box can sweep from a command-defined reference (not
just +X). LINE etc. keep +X by leaving it None.
- `dyn_display_angle_deg` is the single rule for how an angle reads: the
unsigned magnitude of the short angle, so clockwise (cursor on the CW
side of the reference) shows positive. Used by the generic value box,
  ROTATE and ARC.
- A typed angle committed via on_text_input is re-signed by the cursor's
side relative to the reference (`dyn_sign_angle_text`), so commands
receive an already-signed value and don't each implement it.

ROTATE: drop its own sweep arc (the polar guide draws it now, anchored at
the centre and swept from the reference); the rotation commits in the
dragged direction whether picked, typed or accepted with Enter.

ARC SCA/CSA: reference the start angle so the arc, sign and readout are
all relative to it.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 5128d94b2b feat(dynamic-input): ARC specs + ellipse-arc preview fixes
- ARC: per-step DynSpec for the typed-value modes — included-angle (SCA,
CSA), chord length (SCL, CSL) and radius (SER) show their box and route
the typed value through on_text_input via a new dyn_commit_as_text()
hook; the angle box previews the live span. Point/3P/SCE steps stay on
  the legacy polar path.
- ARC + ellipse-arc: derive the previewed sweep direction from the swept
angle with a ~10° tolerance and advance the reference only on a clear
move, so small cursor jitter no longer flips the arc. Ellipse uses the
parametric angle so a flat ellipse isn't sticky.
- Ellipse arc: the start-angle step now shows a line from the centre to
the cursor (it only picks the start angle) instead of a misleading arc.
- Ellipse arc: use the same minor-axis direction (Z x major) as the
rendered entity so the committed arc matches the preview instead of
  mirroring across the major axis.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 e31dbcb5c4 feat(dynamic-input): per-step specs for rectangle, polygon and ellipse
Extend the DynSpec coverage and add the guides those commands need:

- Rectangle: two-corner enters width/height as unsigned magnitudes (the
sign follows the cursor side, like the angle entry), drawn with the
rectangle as the guide; rotated rectangle's height is a single distance
measured square to the base edge (dimension line offset off the edge
with extension lines); centre rectangle shows half-width/half-height.
- Polygon: inscribed/circumscribed vertex step shows radius + rotation.
- Ellipse: minor-axis step (all three modes) measures the half-length
perpendicular to the major axis and draws that semi-axis from the
centre; angle steps anchor their arc at the centre.

Adds DynGuide::Perp / PerpDim (perpendicular measure to a reference line)
and DynSpec::ref_point, plus Width/Height role handling (unsigned display,
cursor-signed commit) and diameter value scaling.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 b0ee1c39bd feat(dynamic-input): per-step DynSpec framework + guide overhaul
Introduce a per-command, per-step dynamic-input description so each step
shows the value boxes and guide geometry that make sense for it, instead
of a one-size-fits-all distance/angle pair.

- command: add DynSpec{anchor, fields(role+label), guide}, DynRole
  (X/Y/Z/Distance/Angle/Radius/Diameter/Width/Height/Factor/Count with
  label + value scaling), DynGuide(None/Polar/AxisDelta/Radius/RectSides)
and DynAnchor. New dyn_spec() trait method defaults to None so commands
on the legacy dyn_field() path are unchanged.
- overlay: redraw the dynamic-input layer by guide — polar reference line
+ angle arc, single radius line, dotted axis legs, or a cursor row —
and place each box by its role. Angle reads as the unsigned magnitude
of the short arc; a typed polar angle takes the sign of the cursor side.
- app: route fields/guide/anchor through the tab; resolve points from the
step anchor and de-scale typed values by role (typed diameter -> radius).
- circle: CR shows a radius value on one line to the cursor; CD shows the
diameter (twice the cursor radius). No angle arc on radius steps.
- pline/mline: keep polar dynamic input on vertex steps that also accept
  keyword letters via point_step_accepts_keywords().

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 4b878b88c4 feat(input): scalar entry via dynamic input
Text-input steps (OFFSET distance, POLYGON sides, radii, counts) were
swallowed by the dynamic-input overlay: typed digits landed in the field
buffer and Enter committed a point pick, so the value never reached
on_text_input (issue #61). Now each text step shows one scalar box whose
value routes to on_text_input on commit; non-numeric prompts (names,
keywords) keep going to the command line so mixed text like "Bolt12"
isn't split.

OFFSET reworked: object first, then through-mode by default — the offset
follows the cursor at the perpendicular distance to the object. Typing a
number locks the magnitude (cursor then only picks the side); a value
typed and clicked without Enter is applied before the point pick.

The dynamic-input overlay and the command line now show the active
step's prompt and hold it until the step completes.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 c7a7f2f742 fix(commands): finish the world-XY coordinate migration (#54)
The drawing plane is world XY, but break, join, rectangular array, the
stretch/window move, the spline preview wire and several doc comments
still used the stale "Y-up XZ" mapping (world Z = DXF Y). That made
those commands operate against a constant-elevation axis: arc/circle/
line/spline break and join picked the wrong points, rectangular array
stepped rows along the Z (elevation) axis, window-stretch tested the
wrong window bound, and the spline wire drew in the wrong plane.

Map every drawing-plane coordinate through .y (elevation on .z),
matching the entity builders, the inquiry commands and the central
transform. Stale Y-up comments updated to avoid future confusion.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 7bf9ce31ae feat(model): 3D solid modelling tab — primitives + boolean ops
Rename the Home tab to "Draw" and add a Model tab beside it with two
groups:

- Model: BOX / CYLINDER / CONE / SPHERE / WEDGE / TORUS, placed with a
footprint + height. Each is built as a real ACIS Solid3D (acadrust
primitive builders) plus a truck B-rep, tessellated into the shaded
mesh pipeline, with edge wires for picking + wireframe.
- Design: UNION / SUBTRACT / INTERSECT via truck-shapeops.

A session-only Scene.model_solids cache holds each solid's truck B-rep
so the boolean tools can combine and chain them. Supersedes the old
command-line BOX/SPHERE/CYLINDER (insert::solid3d_cmds keeps EXTRUDE/
REVOLVE/SWEEP/LOFT).

Known limitations: booleans need solids created this session; curved
ACIS primitives render in-session but not after reload (the SAT
tessellator handles only planar caps); geometry assumes world_offset 0.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 2627d06224 feat(text): in-place editors for all text entities
Route every text-bearing entity to an in-place editor instead of the
command line: a plain text box for single-line text (Text, attributes,
dimension override, tolerance) and the rich MText editor for MText /
MultiLeader. A Leader resolves to the entity it annotates.

- TEXT places a plain text box at the click; double-click edits in place.
- DDEDIT and double-click on any text entity open the matching editor.
- MLEADER places the leader then opens the MText editor on its content.
- LEADER follows the classic flow: points, Enter, then a linked empty
MText annotation opens in the editor; the leader's annotation_handle
links the pair so they edit/erase as a unit.

Adds shared field read/write helpers and a begin_text_edit router, plus
CommitAndEditText / CommitManyAndEditText results that commit an entity
and open its editor (commit_entity now returns the new handle).

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.7 05ea31aa2a feat(commandline): autocomplete suggestions + inventory-based registry
Type-as-you-go suggestion popup above the input that filters known
command names by substring (so `LEADER` surfaces both LEADER and
MLEADER). Up / Down navigates the list, Enter dispatches the
highlighted entry, clicking a row dispatches directly. Esc on a
non-empty input clears the buffer instead of escalating to
command-cancel.

The name corpus comes from `inventory::submit!` blocks placed next
to each `CadCommand` impl rather than a hand-maintained static list.
Adding a new interactive command means dropping one `inventory::submit!`
line in its own module file — the autocomplete picks it up at the
next compile. 98 submissions seeded across 60 module files;
`command::all_registered_command_names()` flattens them at runtime.

One-shot dispatch arms in `app/commands.rs` (NEW, OPEN, SAVE, UNDO,
…) don't have a `CadCommand` impl and are therefore absent from
autocomplete by design.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.7 39150d617f feat(commandline): always-on keyboard capture + space submits like enter
Two behaviour changes that bring the command line in line with
established CAD workflow:

1. **Always-on keyboard capture.** The input was blurred whenever no
command was running, so typed letters went nowhere until the user
clicked into the field. Replace the blur with a re-focus on every
command lifecycle transition (cmd_result.rs) and on viewport / tab
/ ribbon clicks (update.rs), focus the input at startup, and add
a global key subscription that catches any unhandled character key
or backspace and routes it into the buffer via two new messages
(CommandAppendChar / CommandBackspace) — so the command line keeps
accumulating keystrokes even if focus parks somewhere not
focusable. Removes the unused blur_cmd_input helper.

2. **Space submits.** Typing a space at the end of the input now
submits the buffer the same way Enter does. Only exception: an
active command that's currently collecting free-form prose
(TEXT / MTEXT / DDEDIT body, ATTDEF prompt / default value,
INSERT attribute value, ATTEDIT cell). Those advertise the new
`CadCommand::wants_text_with_spaces()` flag so the Space character
reaches the buffer as a literal.

BOX, SPHERE, and CYLINDER build truck topology solids and tessellate
them into MeshModels stored alongside a Solid3D placeholder entity so
the GPU mesh pipeline renders them immediately.

EXTRUDE picks any closed 2D profile (Circle, LwPolyline, etc.),
attaches a planar face via try_attach_plane, and translational-sweeps
it (tsweep Face → Solid) along Z by the given height.

REVOLVE picks a profile, two axis points, and an angle (default 360°),
then rotational-sweeps the wire (rsweep) around the axis.

Three new CmdResult variants drive the operations:
  CommitSolid3D, ExtrudeEntity, RevolveEntity.

Scene::layer_color() added to retrieve the active layer's RGBA color.

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 6f741a92e0 feat: ATTEDIT — edit block attribute values interactively
- attedit.rs: AtteditCommand picks an INSERT entity then iterates through
each attribute tag prompting for a new value (Enter keeps existing)
- attedit_pending_handle() / attedit_set_attrs() trait methods inject
attribute data into the command after entity-pick (avoids document access
  in the command itself)
- cmd_result.rs: NeedPoint handler injects attr data; ReplaceEntity detects
the __ATTEDIT__ sentinel and calls apply_attedit() on the document
- apply_attedit() encodes tag/value pairs as __ATTEDIT__tag\x01val\x02...
- ROADMAP.md: ATTEDIT marked ✅

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 64837e9aed feat: XREF management — auto-resolve, XATTACH, XREF, XRELOAD
- src/io/xref.rs: resolve_xrefs() scans block_records for is_xref flags,
resolves paths relative to the opened file's directory, loads the
referenced DWG/DXF and merges model-space entities into the xref block
- src/modules/insert/xattach.rs: XATTACH command with file-picker flow
  (XAttachPick/XAttachPickResult messages), prepare_xref_block() creates
BlockRecord + Block entities and immediately resolves content
- XREF command: lists all external references in the drawing
- XRELOAD command: re-resolves all xref paths and rebuilds scene caches
- Auto-resolve on FileOpened: reports Loaded/NotFound per xref block
- CadCommand trait: added optional xattach_path() method
- ROADMAP.md: 1.9 XREF management marked ✅

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 d3d4ec4a08 feat: STRETCH with proper crossing-window vertex selection
Replaced the simplified MOVE-based STRETCH with a real crossing-window
implementation. Workflow: pick two crossing-window corners, then base+target
points. Only vertices/endpoints inside the window are translated:
- Line: moves start/end independently
- LwPolyline/Polyline: moves individual vertices inside window
- Arc/Circle/Ellipse: moves whole entity if center is inside
- Insert/Text/MText: moves if insertion point is inside

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 f6d716dfc5 feat: HATCHEDIT command to edit existing hatch pattern, scale, and angle
Add HATCHEDIT (HE alias) command. Works on pre-selected hatch or via
entity pick. Accepts text options: P <pattern>, S <scale>, A <angle>.
Enter applies changes; rebuilds hatch entity and GPU model via add_hatch.

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 8078c4c9da feat: DDEDIT command and double-click text editing
Add DDEDIT (ED alias) command that edits Text/MText/Attribute entities
in-place via the command line. Double-clicking a text entity in model space
now auto-launches DDEDIT for that entity. Supports Text, MText,
AttributeDefinition, and AttributeEntity types.

panel; PageSetupCommit applies scale to PlotSettings
- Viewport UX: locked viewport gets orange border; selected viewport gets white border
- Named view → viewport assignment: Choice dropdown in properties panel copies
  view_target/direction/height to the viewport entity
- MLine caps: perpendicular start/end cap lines added for open (non-closed) MLines
- Wipeout polygon grips: boundary vertices become editable grips when clipping_enabled+Polygonal;
  world→pixel back-projection on drag
- Table cell alignment: CellStyle.alignment (1-9) drives left/center/right + top/middle/bottom
  text positioning; cxf::measure_text() helper added
- New commands/features: DIMCONTINUE (DCO), DIMBASELINE (DBA), TOLERANCE (TOL), TABLE,
  ATTDEF, ATTEDIT, ATTDISP, BREAKATPOINT (BAP), PLOTWINDOW (PW), MLINE (ML);
  DIMSTYLE/DIMCURRENT/CLAYER/LTSCALE/CELTSCALE/SCALETEXT/XDATA/UCSICON/REGEN/DRAWORDER extended
- PLINE arc mode: A/L/CLOSE text input, bulge computation, arc preview
- Warning cleanup: removed unused imports and unreachable patterns

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 330b8b58f4 Feat: PEDIT command (PE) — polyline edit (close/open/width)
Entity pick → text input subcommands:
  C / CLOSE → set closed flag
  O / OPEN → clear closed flag
W <value> → set uniform width on LwPolyline vertices
  X / EXIT → cancel

Command stays active after each op (CmdResult::PeditOp) for multiple edits.
Supports LwPolyline and Polyline2D.

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 b27b612b5d Feat: ALIGN command (AL) — align objects using 1 or 2 point pairs
Workflow: select objects → 1st src/dst pair → 2nd src/dst pair (optional) → Enter.
- 1 pair: pure translation (src1 → dst1)
- 2 pairs: translate + rotate in XZ plane; optional uniform scale (Y/N prompt)

Transform applied as 3 sequential scene.transform_entities calls:
translate to origin → scale → rotate → translate to dst1.

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 f6efe7a06a Feat: LENGTHEN command (LEN) — extend or trim Line/Arc
Options via text input after entity pick:
DE <delta> — extend by delta (negative trims)
TO <total> — set absolute total length / arc length
  P <percent> — scale by percentage
<number> — plain number treated as DE delta

Closest end to pick point is modified. Uses CmdResult::LengthenEntity.

Hakan SevenandClaude Sonnet 4.6 4b8ae08a19 Feat: BREAK command (BR) — split Line/Arc/Circle/LwPolyline at two points
3-step interactive flow:
  1. Entity pick (first break point recorded at click location)
  2. Optional first point refinement
  3. Second break point → CmdResult::BreakEntity applied in cmd_result

Geometry:
- Line: project p1/p2 onto line parameter space → two line fragments
- Arc: project p1/p2 to arc angles → trim CCW from p1 to p2
- Circle: same as Arc, converts Circle → Arc
- LwPolyline: nearest-vertex split → two polyline fragments
