Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 91ba9f7699 feat(alias): centralize command aliases in user-editable ocad.pgp (#286/#288)
Command aliases (L→LINE, CC→COPYCLIP) were scattered across dispatch match
arms and CommandRegistration name arrays. Move them all into a single
user-editable file:

- assets/ocad.pgp: shipped default alias table (ALIAS,*COMMAND format),
  embedded and copied to config/ocad.pgp on first launch; only that user
  copy is read after. AA→AREA default closes #286.
- resolve_alias() rewrites the leading command token at the top of
  dispatch_command_inner, so aliases resolve for every path (families,
  plugins, Repeat menu). Args after the first space are untouched.
- Autocomplete hides alias keys and, when the whole input is an alias,
  surfaces its target command as the top (highlighted) suggestion so the
  highlight matches what Enter runs (AA→AREA, L→LINE).
- ALIASEDIT opens a new editor modal (add/edit/delete rows) with an Apply
  button; Apply persists to ocad.pgp, closing discards unapplied edits.
- Strip alias tokens from all 8 dispatch match-arm files and 71 module
  CommandRegistration arrays, keeping canonical/synonym/distinct-command
  names. ocad.pgp is now the sole source: deleting or remapping an alias
  there takes effect. CUI stays on the keyboard-shortcut panel.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 a1ee4d9269 feat(plot): page setup manager — named setups, layouts, <none>/<previous>
Restructure the plot dialog into a style-manager-style master/detail: a
left list of page setups plus a right settings editor. The list shows
<none> (defaults + PDF) and <previous> (the settings the dialog opened
with), then the drawing's layouts (*Model*, *Layout1*, …) and its
standalone named page setups.

- Named page setups live in the ACAD_PLOTSETTINGS dictionary
  (src/scene/page_setup.rs: names/get/save/delete/rename, creating the
  dictionary if absent); DWG round-trip verified.
- Toolbar New / Copy / Delete | Set current / Preview / Print. Selecting
  a row loads it into the editor; Set current writes to the active
  layout. Copy duplicates a layout or a setup into a new named setup;
  Delete/Rename apply only to named setups.
- Scene::plot_settings_for(name) generalizes effective_plot_settings so
  any layout's settings can be loaded; on open the settings are
  snapshotted for <previous>.
- Default selection: model space → <none>; a layout → its own setup.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 8820b43127 feat(plot): unified plot/print dialog, retire Page Setup
Replace the old Page Setup panel with a single OCS-styled plot/print
dialog (dropdowns for printer, paper, orientation, rotation, plot area,
scale, quality, shaded plot; checkboxes for plot options). PLOT / PRINT
/ PAGESETUP all open it.

- Printer output via lp: -d printer, -n copies, -o ColorModel=Gray,
  print-quality, Resolution; Windows printto verb; list_printers via
  lpstat. Preview opens a temp PDF in the OS viewer (never a save
  dialog). PDF export reuses the tested pipeline.
- Window pick returns to the new dialog (was the old Page Setup) and the
  clipped window plot drives PDF / printer / preview.
- Remember the user's print preferences across sessions in
  config/plot.txt (printer, copies, quality, output options, area,
  scale); drawing-specific fields (offset/center/rotation) seed from the
  layout. Default plot area Window, scale Fit.
- Delete src/ui/window/page_setup.rs and its ModalKind / Message /
  buffer state; fold on_page_setup_commit into apply_plot_page_settings.

sLuCHa 363593b09f feat: plot a model-space window to PDF
Pick a rectangular window in model space with the existing PLOTWINDOW command (now enabled in model space, previously paper-space only) and export it to a PDF at a chosen ISO paper size (A4-A0), orientation and scale (fit or ratio). The window is a hard clip boundary. Adds paper-size presets, a window-to-sheet transform, scale + clip support in the PDF exporter, and Page Setup controls (format/orientation/pick window).

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 ada9952f06 feat(layers): multi-select layers in the Layer Manager (#236)
The Layer Manager only allowed one layer at a time. Now:

- Ctrl/Cmd-click toggles a layer in the selection; Shift-click selects
  the range from the anchor; a plain click selects just one.
- Colour, linetype and lineweight changes apply to every selected layer.
- Delete removes all selected layers at once (reusing the #237 non-empty
  warning, now pluralised); layer "0" and the current layer are skipped.

Selection is stored as row indices but re-resolved by name across sorts
and layer-table rebuilds, so it never points at the wrong rows. Modifier
state is tracked via a new SetModifiers message (shift + ctrl/cmd).

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 2712bb80e4 fix(layers): deleting a non-empty layer warns and removes its objects (#237)
Deleting a layer only dropped the layer record, leaving its objects in the
file still tagged with the (now-gone) layer name. Now:

- Empty layer → deleted straight away.
- Non-empty layer → a warning modal ("Layer X is not empty — N objects;
  deleting also removes them. Continue?") with Delete Objects / Cancel.
  Confirming erases every object on the layer, then removes the layer, as
  one undo step. The layer record is dropped before the erase so the
  locked-layer guard can't keep its objects.
- Layer "0" and the current layer can't be deleted (reported on the
  command line) instead of silently leaving a broken state.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 0b60bcc075 feat(attedit): enhanced attribute editor with 3 tabs
Grow the attribute editor into a three-tab enhanced editor:
- Attribute: the tag/prompt/value list; click a row to select it, edit
  its value below.
- Text Options: the selected attribute's Text Style, Justification,
  Height, Rotation, Width Factor, Oblique Angle, Backwards, Upside down.
- Properties: the selected attribute's Layer, Linetype, Color,
  Lineweight (the colour list also surfaces a non-standard current
  colour so it displays and round-trips).

Applying writes value, text-formatting and common-property edits back to
each attribute positionally (guarded on block name + count), with undo
and a repaint. OK/Cancel are replaced by a single Apply button in a top
toolbar that commits but keeps the dialog open, matching the other modal
windows — the frame ✕ closes and discards un-applied edits. The frame
adopts the shared style-window palette, tab styling and sizing.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 86a59d6c7e feat(attedit): attribute editor dialog for blocks
Double-clicking a block reference that has attributes, or running ATTEDIT
on one, now opens an editor dialog listing every attribute (tag + editable
value) with OK / Cancel. OK writes the values back to the block, with undo
and a repaint; Cancel discards. A block with no attributes still enters
in-place block edit (REFEDIT) on double-click as before. (#192)

ATTEDIT opens the dialog directly when a suitable block is already
selected; otherwise it runs the pick command and the dialog opens once a
block is chosen. This replaces the earlier command-line, per-attribute
prompt flow, which is removed along with its __ATTEDIT__ sentinel path and
the now-unused attedit_set_attrs trait hook; the ATTEDIT command is reduced
to a plain block picker.

The dialog is a tab-scoped in-canvas modal (Plan B): its working copy holds
a document-local handle, so closing that tab or switching away dismisses the
editor rather than risk applying edits to another tab's document.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 b77187e672 feat(save): warn before dropping AEC/Civil objects or overwriting on Save-As
Two in-canvas confirmations on the Save-As path:

- AEC/Civil drop warning: when the drawing carries unsupported AEC/Civil
  (application) objects that survive only as verbatim source-version bytes,
  saving to a different version or to DXF would silently drop them. The
  dialog reports the count and offers "Save in source version" (keep) vs
  "Save anyway" (drop). Same-version DWG saves are lossless and skip it.
- Overwrite confirmation: when the chosen filename already exists in the
  target folder, "Replace" / "Cancel" before clobbering it.

The two chain (AEC first, then overwrite) via per-flow acknowledgement flags
reset whenever the Save dialog opens or closes. Detection is a new
io::dropped_on_save_count over the document's Unknown (raw-passthrough)
objects/entities.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 a502379048 refactor: group ui/ statusbar and window subdirs
Continue tidying the flat ui/ root:

- ui/statusbar/: statusbar.rs becomes statusbar/mod.rs (its
  crate::ui::statusbar::* paths are preserved) and absorbs
  statusbar_config.rs + statusbar_menu.rs.
- ui/window/: the standalone manager/dialog windows move here —
  about, layout_manager, page_setup, plugin_manager, shortcuts,
  layers, update_notice, open_progress. The crate::ui::LayerPanel
  re-export is repointed so callers are unchanged.

Call sites repointed to the new paths; no compat re-exports beyond the
existing LayerPanel one. ui/ root drops from 21 to 10 flat files with
five subdirs (ribbon, style, popup, statusbar, window).

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 9cd0479047 refactor: group ui/ style+popup dirs, rename cmd_result driver
- Group the flat src/ui/ dir: move the 9 style editors into ui/style/
  (dimstyle, mleaderstyle, mlstyle, plotstyle, textstyle, tablestyle,
  point_style, style_list, style_manager) and the 6 popups into
  ui/popup/ (cycle, isolate, scale, selection_filter, snap, units).
  Call sites repointed to crate::ui::style::/crate::ui::popup::; no
  compat re-exports. ui/ root drops from 36 to 21 files.
- Rename app/cmd_result.rs -> app/command_driver.rs: the file is the
  StepInput->feed_command driver, not the CmdResult type (which lives
  in command.rs). Name now matches contents.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 bddc050b3e refactor: split four oversized files into submodule trees
Break up the four giant files (~29k lines total) into focused submodule
directories, one concern per file. Pure mechanical moves — behavior is
unchanged.

- app/update.rs (9650) -> app/update/{mod,viewport,command,style,file,
  dynamic,dialog,util}. The 384-arm update_inner match stays in mod.rs
  with thin delegating arms; the 66 fattest arm bodies move to topic
  methods. Arm set preserved exactly (384 -> 384).
- scene/mod.rs (9017) -> scene/{mod,entity,tess,hittest,layout,paper,
  mspace,project,selection,modify,group_layer,preview}. The impl Scene
  body is split across files via inherent-impl-per-file; struct, ctor,
  fields and load-time helpers stay in the root. fn count 123 -> 123.
- app/commands.rs (6082) -> app/commands/* grouped by command family.
  The 233-arm dispatch match becomes source-ordered per-family
  dispatch_* handlers, preserving first-match precedence (233 -> 233).
- app/view.rs (4686) -> app/view/{mod,overlay,modal,viewcube,controls}.

Largest file drops from 9650 to 3343. Builds clean; app launches and
loads plugins with no panic.
