Open the Edit Block Definition dialog when BEDIT is invoked without an active selection, listing candidate block definitions alphabetically while filtering layout records, anonymous blocks, and external references. Allow typing a new valid block name to start an empty block editor session that only commits to the drawing block table upon explicit save.
Preview the current unsaved block in a disposable drawing with independent history. Keep normal Draw tools available, append Close Test Block, and return to the original editor without saving. Guard persistence paths and handle refresh and parent-close lifecycle by stable document identity.
Picking nested objects reports what each pick added ("1 entity added",
"0 entities added" for an object already in the set), a pick on empty
space starts a window ("Specify opposite corner:"; a window dragged to
the right takes the objects inside it, to the left those it touches),
and a typed point picks the object it lies on. From the Reference Edit
dialog the item count is printed when the session opens, followed by
"Use REFCLOSE or the Refedit toolbar to end reference editing session."

A selection of several unconnected chains, or one holding a closed
polyline, failed as a whole; each chain now joins on its own and the
rest stays.

Create a new named definition from current session edits, restore the source checkpoint, and continue editing the copy with fresh local history. Add the name dialog and Save dropdown, clone supported owned metadata onto independent handles, and refuse unsupported relationships atomically.
The right-edge toolbar of a REFEDIT session now shows the definition
being edited (REFEDITNAME) as an accent pill with the number of objects
in the working set, Add to / Remove from Working Set buttons with their
own icons (REFSET Add / Remove, straight to object selection), and
Save / Discard in a separate group below a rule.

REFEDIT opens a dialog after the pick: the nesting chain as chips with a
preview of the chosen definition, all objects or picking them in the
drawing, attribute definitions (offered only when the definition has
them), locking objects outside the working set and unique names for an
external reference's named objects. The settings are remembered.
With unique names an xref's dependent layers, linetypes, text styles and
blocks are checked out as $N$NAME records of their own; without, under
the plain name, sharing a host record of that name. Save writes them back
under the reference's names, and the records made for the session are
removed when it closes. -REFEDIT uses the remembered settings.

In the Block Editor, BVSTATE makes a new visibility state, makes one
current, renames or deletes one; BVHIDE and BVSHOW hide or show the
picked objects in the current state (BVSHOW shows every object of the
block while they are picked). The first use makes the block dynamic.
The states are stored as the format keeps them: a
BLOCKVISIBILITYPARAMETER in the block's ACAD_ENHANCEDBLOCK evaluation
graph with its visibility grip and the grip's two location expressions,
the round-trip purge preventer, AcDbDynamicBlockTrueName /
AcDbDynamicBlockGUID / AcDbBlockRepETag on the definition and element
tags on each of its objects. The definition shows its first state; a
reference given another state gets its own evaluated *U copy, tagged
AcDbBlockRepBTag and linked back through AcDbBlockRepresentation /
AcDbRepData, so it shows that state and the other references do not
change. Saving the block drops erased objects from the states.
Checked: a block authored this way reads back with its states and
reference link from DWG and DXF, and the ODA converter accepts the DWG.

ARRAYEDIT picks an associative array (or takes the preselected one) and
its Source option opens the objects every item repeats in the Block
Editor; saving there updates all items at once. Counts and spacings stay
in Properties.

With the new Associative option on (the default), ARRAYRECT and
ARRAYPOLAR build the array the way the drawing format stores one: the
selected objects move into an anonymous source block, an anonymous
array block holds one ByBlock reference to it per item, an INSERT of
the array block takes their place, and an AcDbAssocAction with an
AcDbAssocArrayActionBody, its three dependencies, the BaseNormal /
Origin / basePoint parameters and the value parameters tie them
together in the model-space network. The array is then edited from
Properties like an array read from a file.
The option flips with AS and is remembered for the session; on a
rotated working plane the commands keep making plain copies. Saving
drops the action of an array whose reference was erased or exploded.
Checked: created arrays reopen as associative with their parameters
and items, and the ODA converter reads the saved DWG without errors.

ADJUST gathers raster images or PDF/DWF/DGN underlays (other objects are
dropped silently, pickfirst is used, a mixed set is refused), then asks the
image option (Brightness default) or the underlay option (last used), with
value prompts that offer the image's own value or the session's last
underlay fade/contrast, and Monochrome Yes/No. Invalid values re-prompt.
One undo step. -IMAGEADJUST, PDFADJUST, DWFADJUST and DGNADJUST take one
kind each. Raster image Brightness/Contrast/Fade move to an Image Adjust
section as whole numbers with 0-100 validation.

HPASSOC (0 or 1, default 1) is the starting state of the hatch
command's associative option. It is an application setting: typed
directly or through SETVAR, it persists across sessions and does not
mark the drawing modified.

TXTEXP replaces each selected TEXT and MTEXT with one polyline per
glyph contour, on the text's layer and with its properties: a
lightweight polyline for flat text, a 3D polyline for tilted text.
The outlines come from the same glyph tessellation the text renders
with, so stroke fonts give their strokes and outline fonts their
closed contours.

PASTESPEC offers the formats on the clipboard: Objects and Block for
objects copied in the application (the PASTECLIP and PASTEBLOCK paths),
and Text for the system clipboard's text, placed as multi-line text in
the current text style with its lines as paragraphs.

Delegate INSERT and MINSERT explosion to the document-aware codec implementation, removing duplicate attribute and base-point handling. Update workspace, kernel and graph pins together and cover rotated arrays with a nonzero base.
Enforce constant attribute flag in ATTEDIT dialog by presenting constant attributes as disabled and ignoring modifications. When exploding an insert, restore block-definition attribute definitions as transformed ATTDEF entities while dropping instance attribute values.
DIST printed the raw world angle (-180..180) while the Properties panel
and typed directions follow the drawing's base angle and direction.

Filleting a polyline segment with a line or arc moved the segment's
vertex and left the polyline closed and the other object separate, so a
closed shape bent into an unexpected outline. The polyline is now
opened if closed, cut at the fillet point keeping the picked side, and
the fillet arc and the trimmed line or arc are joined onto it as one
polyline, as the reference does.

TRIM already takes objects selected before the command as cutting
edges; EXTEND ignored them and extended to the nearest object in the
path. It now takes them as boundary edges the same way.

A fresh web-vs-desktop audit found the remaining gaps; this closes the
top ten.
Raster images: IMAGE attach read the picked file via image::open on a
name-only path (dead on wasm), and raster references inside opened
drawings decoded the same way. Picked bytes are now registered in a
name-keyed store (the PDF-underlay pattern), decoding runs from memory,
and dropped .png/.jpg/.bmp/.tif files register by name so unresolved
references in opened drawings re-resolve and render (and export to PDF).
Command gaps fixed with the bytes-at-pick / download_bytes pattern:
- WBLOCK now downloads the extracted block instead of failing on fs.
- SAVEALL saves every dirty tab instead of printing a no-op message.
- SCRIPT picks and reads the .scr file through the browser picker.
- CENTERLTYPEFILE picks the .lin/.dnl file and populates from text.
- Custom .ctb tables picked on web now parse, register for the
session, appear in the plot dialog list, and apply (load_named
previously returned builtin-only on wasm).
- LAYTRANS 'Load standards file' parses the picked drawing on the
existing web worker.
- INSERT 'from file' in the block palette parses picked bytes and
feeds the shared import path.
Text fidelity: TTF-named styles rendered as thin stroke glyphs on web
because the font database was empty. Fetched Noto faces are now
registered into it with a family alias table (Arial, Times New Roman,
Cambria, ... -> Noto Sans/Serif), so those styles render filled, shape,
export to PDF as vector fills, and appear in the style picker.
ViewCube labels request semibold again on web.
docs/native-vs-web.md: the hatch and font rows were stale (both work on
web now), the GPU row claimed WebGPU is used where available (the
backend is pinned to OpenGL), and the parallelism row missed the parse
worker — all corrected.
(cherry picked from commit c643a10e)
Ported onto main (#1717 review): conflicts resolved toward main — the
font-file lookup, PDF searchable text, purge service, block palette and
plot-style copy stay as they are on main; the web pieces (font registry
and aliases, session plot styles, SCRIPT/SAVEALL/CENTERLTYPEFILE picks,
block-from-file on the web) are layered on top.
world = insert_point + Rot * Scale * (P - base_point). Attribute placement, EXPLODE, XCLIP storage, REFEDIT's working copy, the UCS reframe of attributes and the dynamic-block visibility grip ignored the base point and were offset by Rot*Scale*base. They now share insert_transform_with_base. Creation stores a ZERO base and redefine resets it; a no-op redefine moves nothing; the Block Definition dialog prefills the base from the definition. XCLIP filters stored by older builds keep their old displacement.
bake_dimension_blocks copied the dimension's whole EntityCommon, including its extension dictionary handle, into every baked child, so many entities claimed one dictionary and file validation reported an error per entity. Baked children now get no extension dictionary. The same defect is fixed in define_transformed_block and the cross-document paste clone. Each has a test.
#1692 limited no-trim FILLET to two lines and refused arcs and polyline
segments, which #1558 already filleted without trimming (only the arc is
added). It also turned T/N at the object prompts into silent toggles, so
the Trim option no longer reached its Trim/No trim prompt and the choice
was not saved. Keep the arc bookkeeping it added (the new arc can be
picked next, and stays on the picked layer), restore every pair and the
Trim prompt.
CHAMFER's new no-trim mode starts from and saves the same TRIMMODE value
as FILLET instead of always starting trimmed.

The informational clippy job fails on two pre-existing literals
(also failing on main, surfaced on this PR's merge): the trim
tangency test's angle list used 3.14 where pi was meant — use the
constant; the point-cloud light-direction fixture in render.rs uses
a hand-tuned 0.318 component that only looks like 1/pi — keep the
tuned value and allow the lint on that statement.
Resolve conflicts from main's rustfmt pass by taking main's versions of
command.rs, style.rs, view/mod.rs, scene/mod.rs, ui/window/mod.rs and
ui/properties.rs and re-applying this branch's Graphic Attributes changes.
Add the Graphic Attributes strings to the new lo-LA catalog.

Resolved conflicts:
- app/update/mod.rs: keep the dock's dock_open_at_default for the XREF
manager; take main's stable xref row identity (row_index(&id)).
- app/view/mod.rs: keep the edge layout from app::dock; drop main's copy
of the old edge-stack code (main only reformatted it there).
- ui/window/layers.rs: keep main's new visible_indices next to the
branch's view_panel.
Files the branch only reformatted take main's version. Adds the Lao
(lo-LA) translations for the new dock texts.

- Implement Apollonius PPC (Point-Point-Curve) and multi-tangent CCP solvers for lines in arc.rs
- Support tangent line snapping for all 3-input arc combinations (Tangent-Point-Point, Point-Tangent-Point, Tangent-Tangent-Point, Tangent-Point-Tangent, Point-Tangent-Tangent)
- Resolve TangentGeom::Line f32 truncation in snap.rs to preserve true f64 key vertices during tangent evaluation and TangentObject construction
- Preserve strict CUT_TOLERANCE (1e-7) in trim.rs while ensuring tangent contact points are detected accurately
- Add unit tests for line tangency solvers, tangent trim detection, and angular precision sweeps
- LAYERS ribbon button runs a command that opens the Layer Manager pallet;
the ribbon no longer keeps it highlighted.
- Layer Manager: search box stays right-aligned, the column header fills
the row, no stray contour lines when the pallet is taller than its rows.
- Auto-hidden edges don't show the shown-group accent bar.
- Auto-hide reveal and hide wait 150 ms of rest, so passing over the
strip doesn't flash groups open.

- Pins: codec 8189f83, kernel a82f17d, graph d3558bb (all manifests and
the python plugin lock).
- MASSPROP reports volume, centroid, inertia, products, radii of
gyration and principal moments of 3D solids and bodies from their
B-rep (exact where analytic, else from a fine mesh).
- OFFSET of ellipses and splines through the kernel's curve offset.
- FILLET between circles, ellipses and splines through the kernel's
curve-curve fillet, trimming arcs and open splines to the tangents.
The kernel bump brings the DWG ACIS audit fixes: slices, booleans and
press/pull on cones, slanted cylinder sections, survey coordinates,
spline walls and touching parts.

Conflicts were additions on both sides, kept together: the Count palette
and Sheet Set toggles next to the Graphic Attributes toggle in the ribbon,
main's new locale groups and catalog entries next to graphic-attributes,
and module declarations. The palette code follows main's crate renames
(acadrust -> codec, cadkernel -> kernel).

3DROTATE (ROTATE3D) took the drawing's rotation path, so a polyline only
turned in its own plane. It now asks for a base point, an axis — X, Y, Z
or a second point — and an angle, and rotates the selection about that
axis in space.
