ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 e9c4e501db Point clouds: drawn from their scans, placed, cropped and attached as the reference does
Scans (.rcs) and projects (.rcp) are read and their points drawn as
screen-sized dots, coloured by the cloud's stylization. The cloud's
placement carries its scale and rotation; its extents and crops stay in
the scan's coordinates. A missing scan shows the extents with the saved
path. -POINTCLOUDATTACH / POINTCLOUDATTACH, POINTCLOUDCROP and the
POINTCLOUD* settings follow the reference's prompts and messages, the
Properties list is the reference's, and a locked cloud is left alone by
edits.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 56ecf786f1 DWF/DGN underlays: clipping, layers, text, 3D DGN, colours and zoom extents
- PDFOSNAP, DWFOSNAP and DGNOSNAP are separate; UOSNAP sets them all and
reads 2 while they differ. Enable Snap switches the selected kind's.
- DWFCLIP / DGNCLIP clip their own kind with the kind's prompts and message;
CLIP routes DWF and DGN underlays there; Enter at a corner asks again.
- The right-edge underlay tools show for DWF and DGN too (import is PDF
  only).
- Underlay layers: DGN levels (V8 level table, "Default" listed as "0"; V7
used levels named from the level name table), hidden through the layer
override data with the DGN placeholder string first; a plotted DWF has
  none.
- V8 colour read from its colour word (by level, index, or a true colour
drawn as its nearest index); 3D V8 elements drawn in plan (lines, line
strings, ellipses and arcs by their orientation, text); a model's extent
  includes its text.
- DWF 6 TrueType text (font, height, rotation from the font opcode) and DWFx
glyph runs are drawn; the default W2D colour map is the measured one.
- Contrast pulls lightness towards a per-kind pivot as measured (PDF 0.5,
  DWF 0.243, DGN 0.65).
- Zoom extents includes raster images and underlays whose frames are hidden.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 bd17e7e0d4 CLIP on raster images and viewports, IMAGECLIP, VPCLIP, clip depth rules
- CLIP continues as IMAGECLIP on a raster image and as VPCLIP on a layout
viewport, with the reference prompts and stored data.
- Image clip boundaries sit on pixel centres, OFF only clears the display
flag, and an inverted boundary cuts the image.
- VPCLIP polygon (Arc/Length/Close/Undo), clipping object and Delete; the
viewport shrinks to the boundary's exact extents, view kept.
- XCLIP Clipdepth: Remove clears only the plane asked, a front plane behind
the back one is rejected with the reference message.
- Attached and imported images carry the reference display flags.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 5.5 f537aff75c feat: node graph overlay; move to opencadcodec/opencadkernel/opencadgraph
The codec and kernel repositories and crates are renamed opencadcodec and
opencadkernel. Inside OCS they are depended on under short keys, so code
reads `codec::`, `kernel::` and the new `graph::` (opencadgraph, the node
graph engine). File-format and protocol spellings stay as they were: the
ACIS product id `acadrust`, the ACADRUST_* switches and the plugin
version keys `acadrust_version` / `acadrust_source`.

A button left of MCP on the command line opens a translucent node graph
over the viewport, with a palette of object, input, math, logic, list,
text and geometry nodes added by click or drag. An object node owns
drawing entities and its rows are the Properties panel's own rows for
them: the single-object page is extracted from refresh_properties as
entity_property_sections, values use the control protocol's
property_json, and writes go through set_property_value with a property
target override, so the panel, MCP and the graph share one read/write
path. A list reaching an object row makes one entity per element. Each
graph action is one undo step; the canvas pans and zooms.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 5.5 56c04408d6 Merge remote-tracking branch 'origin/main'
The command driver was split into command_driver/ upstream; the PDF
underlay and XCLIP additions to the old file move with it: their
CmdResult arms into the router (mod.rs) and the block-reference
selection filter with its clip lookup into utilities.rs.

Karim Jerbi 7052016dce refactor(kernels): extract reusable clipboard and matchprop kernels
Publishes app-free domain logic for shared use: match_special_props and PolylineMatchStyle move to entities::match_props; xdict trio usable headlessly; new match_layer, copy_to_clipboard, paste_entities and match_properties kernels over CadDocument. Handlers stay thin shells keeping undo, dirty flags, selection and command-line echo.

Adds cross-document copy, paste and property-match tests plus a headless proof driving copy, paste and match with no app instance.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 5.5 163763c42a fix(xref): follow-ups to the xref attach parity merge
- `XREF <args>` runs whole: probing the bare verb first now opens the
External References palette, which refreshed every entry and toggled
  the palette before `XREF Reload A` / `XREF ?` ran.
- Update the two tests that encoded the old behaviour: `-XREF ?` prints
the reference table, and attaching a missing file is rejected.
- Drop the duplicate "Specify On-screen" catalog entry that shadowed the
translated common key, with its unused ftl keys.
- Move `remove_pipe_symbols`' doc comment back above its function.
- Note in `document_for_save` that resolved xref content stays out.
- Gate the desktop-only preview cap and tab index for wasm.

Attach External Reference dialog after XATTACH / ATTACH; ATTACH routes
drawings, PDFs and images; placement prompts and messages follow the
reference (presets, Corner/XYZ, nonzero check, existing definition reuse,
missing file, self-reference); name keeps the file's case; overlay and
path type at attach; one undo step for definition and INSERT; -XREF option
prompt and `?` table; XREF opens the palette; ER alias; xref Properties
rows; dependent symbols flagged and remapped and resolved content left out
of the saved file; dialog_ok automation action; localized labels.

Karim Jerbi 652f4d6bbc feat(blocks): implement Block Definition dialog (BLOCK/BMAKE) with on-screen sequencing
Implement the complete Block Definition dialog window launched via BLOCK
and BMAKE commands, featuring standard CAD layout, workflows, and entity
creation pipelines.

- Dialog UI & Layout:
  - 2-column compact CAD grid with synchronized vertical heights (580 × 390px).
  - Editable combobox with existing block names, invalid character validation,
    and inline redefinition badge.
  - Multi-line text editor widget for block descriptions (replacing single-line input).
  - Quick Select (QSELECT) button integration restoring dialog state upon completion.
  - Confirmation guard when attempting to redefine an existing block definition.
  - Centered radio buttons, clean coordinate inputs, and accessible keyboard shortcuts.

- Base Point & On-Screen Workflow:
  - BlockOnScreenCommand strictly enforces prompt sequencing: Base point is
    prompted before object selection.
  - Dynamically recalculates world_to_block and block_to_world affine transforms
when base point is specified on-screen, preventing stale (0,0,0) normalization.
  - Supports Retain, Convert to block (INSERT placement), and Delete modes.

- Explode Enforcement:
  - Guarded EXPLODE command to prevent decomposing blocks flagged as non-explodable.

- Dynamic Themed Icons:
  - Added pick_point.svg, select_objects.svg, quick_select.svg, and warning_triangle.svg.
  - Routed all icons through the semantic theming engine so line work (#B4B6B9)
and accents (#6DB7ED) adapt automatically to the active theme.

- Tests:
  - Added unit tests for retain/convert/delete modes, redefinition, explodable flag,
on-screen base point transform recalculation, and command sequencing.

JonathanandCopilot 3700f5abfb Fix: Enable clipboard copy for web/browser via system clipboard API
- Modify COPYCLIP command to write entities as JSON to system clipboard
- Modify CUTCLIP command to write cut entities as JSON to system clipboard
- Modify COPYBASE_AT command to write copied entities as JSON to system clipboard
- Entities are serialized as JSON with base point coordinates for cross-platform support
- Clipboard data format: OCS_CLIPBOARD_JSON header + base point + entity data
- Works in web (WASM) build via Clipboard API and native builds via iced clipboard

This fixes the issue where copy command didn't persist to system clipboard in web browser,
allowing proper paste operations and clipboard sharing between application instances.

Karim Jerbi 9c8f841f71 fix(insert): capped interactive block search and CLIPROMPTLINES
INSERT enumerated all block names in a single prompt string, causing unbounded overlay growth and full-screen occlusion in drawings with many blocks. Replace prompt enumeration with a ranked, incrementally filtered suggestion model: BlockPicker maintains precomputed lower/upper caches and usage ranks (MRU/frequency), filters via O(n) substring scan and partial sorting (select_nth_unstable) to O(k), bounded to CLIPROMPTLINES.

Introduce CLIPROMPTLINES (Integer 0-50, Registry, default 3) for the number of temporary prompt lines above the command window; persist in UserSettings, expose via SETVAR and direct entry, enforce in CommandLine::view. Suggestion count is in direct relation to CLIPROMPTLINES (limit = clip, capped to 50).

Make search live without requiring Enter: add CadCommand::on_live_input, implement for INSERT/MINSERT via picker.set_needle, and wire to command-line input paths (Message::CommandInput, on_command_append_char, on_command_backspace). Updates use upper/lower caches and partial sort for <0.2ms per keystroke on 10k blocks, with debounced block-usage persistence (MRU cap 20, freq cap 200) to avoid I/O thrash. Correct tri_count test helper to use display_from_solid.

Karim Jerbi b4da342f0e refactor(ribbon): derive the Block Palette button highlight from app state
The ribbon kept its own \show_block_palette\ copy that the app had to
manually sync at every mutation point (the BLOCKPALETTE command and the
dock Close handler). Drop the copy and thread the app's authoritative
\show_block_palette\ into \Ribbon::view\ at render time, so the button
highlight can't drift from the panel's true visibility — those two
handlers are now mutate-points only and the ribbon view is the single
place that reads the state back.

Karim Jerbi fbab4c4934 feat(ribbon): Block Palette button reflects panel open state
The Insert tab's Block Palette button now behaves like the View tab toggles
(UCS Icon, View Cube, Ortho, Properties, File Tabs, Layout Tabs): it stays
highlighted while the block palette panel is open and clears when closed.

The Ribbon gains a show_block_palette flag with a set_block_palette setter,
fed into ToggleState and mapped in is_active_tool for the BLOCKPALETTE tool
id. show_block_palette on the app remains the single source of truth; both
mutation paths now mirror it onto the ribbon:

- BLOCKPALETTE / BLOCKSPALETTE command toggles ribbon state alongside the
  panel (src/app/commands/blocks.rs).
- Closing the panel via the dock rail close button clears the ribbon state,
matching how Close(Properties) already syncs (src/app/update/dialog.rs).

Hakan Seven 4c3509fa51 feat(commands): step the rest of the keyword/value commands
Convert the remaining bucket-B commands to prompt step by step instead of
requiring arguments or printing usage:

- KeywordCommand (buttons): VIEW, LINETYPE, SCALELISTEDIT, UCSICON, VSCURRENT.
- ValuePromptCommand (one value): LAYDEL (layer), ATTSYNC (block).
- TwoValuePromptCommand (new; two values): LAYMRG (source + target),
SETVAR (variable + value, blank second reads).

Each bare form now starts the stepped front-end and delegates to the existing
inline handler; the argument form is kept and is the dispatch target. The
direct visual-style shortcuts (HIDDENLINE / XRAY / …) and UCSICON's argument
form are untouched.

COUNT is intentionally left alone: bare COUNT already reports the tally (a
useful inquiry action, not a usage line), so prompting would only add friction.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 8ed10ceb2a feat(mtext): structured editor with selection, copy, and visible bold
Rewrite the in-app MTEXT editor to run on acadrust's structured
MTextDocument model end-to-end: load via parse_mtext, edit a flat Cell
model, serialize via to_mtext_string. Retires the hand-rolled format-code
string handling, the parallel visible_spans parser, the composed_value
prefix, and the Edit-raw-code tab.

Selection and copy:
- double-click selects the word, triple-click selects all (click-counting)
- Ctrl+A selects all text
- Ctrl+C copies the selected text to the clipboard

Formatting:
- per-selection Bold/Italic/Underline/Overline/Strike/Case/Alignment
- Bold renders as a visibly thicker SDF pen, keyed (family, char, bold)
through the whole text pipeline; the resolved style font name is stamped
so the \f...|b1; code survives serialization
- per-selection font and color changes
- editor color dropdown reuses the Properties panel color selector

Global toolbar defaults (font/color/oblique/width/tracking) fold onto the
document as real span properties instead of a leading code prefix; a
trailing empty paragraph is preserved so Enter at the end keeps its line.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 2a72227d5d feat(attribute): route ATTMAN/BATTMAN to the attribute editor (ATTEDIT)
ATTMAN and BATTMAN previously produced a command-line listing of block
attributes. Route both to the attribute editor instead: extract the bare
ATTEDIT behavior into a shared open_attedit_dialog helper (edit the
selected block, or start the block-pick command) and call it from the
ATTEDIT, ATTMAN, and BATTMAN arms.

Kept as a match arm rather than an ocad.pgp alias so it works for
existing users, whose config pgp is only seeded on first run.

Replace the listing regression tests with one asserting ATTMAN and
BATTMAN behave byte-for-byte like ATTEDIT.

Kevin GriffinandClaude Opus 4.8 0f6999a838 fix(blocks): make BATTMAN work instead of erroring like ATTMAN (#295)
BATTMAN matched the ATTMAN command arm but the argument was extracted
with `cmd.trim_start_matches("ATTMAN")`. "BATTMAN" has no leading
"ATTMAN" to strip, so the whole word survived as a bogus block-name
argument — BATTMAN always reported "ATTMAN: no matching block" instead
of listing attributes. `BATTMAN <name>` never matched at all.

Strip whichever keyword was actually typed (BATTMAN first, since ATTMAN
is a suffix of it) with `strip_prefix`, and match the `BATTMAN ` prefix
form too. BATTMAN now behaves identically to ATTMAN.

Adds headless regression tests driving the real dispatcher; they fail on
the previous code with the reported symptom and pass with the fix.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 91ba9f7699 feat(alias): centralize command aliases in user-editable ocad.pgp (#286/#288)
Command aliases (L→LINE, CC→COPYCLIP) were scattered across dispatch match
arms and CommandRegistration name arrays. Move them all into a single
user-editable file:

- assets/ocad.pgp: shipped default alias table (ALIAS,*COMMAND format),
embedded and copied to config/ocad.pgp on first launch; only that user
copy is read after. AA→AREA default closes #286.
- resolve_alias() rewrites the leading command token at the top of
dispatch_command_inner, so aliases resolve for every path (families,
plugins, Repeat menu). Args after the first space are untouched.
- Autocomplete hides alias keys and, when the whole input is an alias,
surfaces its target command as the top (highlighted) suggestion so the
highlight matches what Enter runs (AA→AREA, L→LINE).
- ALIASEDIT opens a new editor modal (add/edit/delete rows) with an Apply
button; Apply persists to ocad.pgp, closing discards unapplied edits.
- Strip alias tokens from all 8 dispatch match-arm files and 71 module
  CommandRegistration arrays, keeping canonical/synonym/distinct-command
names. ocad.pgp is now the sole source: deleting or remapping an alias
there takes effect. CUI stays on the keyboard-shortcut panel.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 c249a99d4c fix(clipboard): paste anchor at bounding-box lower-left, not center (#285)
COPYCLIP/CUTCLIP used the mean of each entity's bounding-box centre as the
paste anchor. Standard clipboard behaviour puts the lower-left corner of the
box enclosing all copied items under the cursor. Union each entity's bbox min
corner instead, and rename clipboard_centroid -> clipboard_base (COPYBASE also
stores a picked point there, so "centroid" was inaccurate).
