An arc moved only when its centre was in the window, so stretching a
rounded end left the arc where it was or blew it up. Its ends now decide:
both in move it, one in moves that end while the arc keeps its height
(sagitta) over the new chord. Polyline arc segments keep their height the
same way instead of their bulge, spline control and fit points in the
window move, and 3D polylines and points stretch too. Old-style polylines
were tested in X/Z.
The preview moved the tessellated points that happened to be in the
window, which bent arcs out of shape; it now draws the stretched entities
through one shared function the commit also uses, via a new
preview_entities hook, and hides the originals while it shows.

Parameters and Move/Scale action markers were drawn as overlays with no selectable authoring objects. Pick their points, labels or graphics in BEDIT to display editable definition, endpoint, reference and label grips using the existing selection overlay and point-input commands. Show the selected object's coordinates in the Properties panel.
Write edits to the native parameter/grip/action records while preserving graph identities and target bindings. Maintain Rotation radii and oriented grip directions, synchronize visibility lookup data, and retain Basepoint attribute relocation with recorded entity history. Escape cancels edits or clears selection; editor undo/redo and save/discard preserve the native changes.
Validate with self-contained viewport-input and native DWG/DXF persistence regressions, all ten parameter types, action bindings, cancellation and Basepoint attribute undo. Checks: 3 focused, 323 block (6 existing opt-in ignored), 39 dock and 23 viewport tests passed; counts overlap.
Ordinary drawing-reference grips and per-instance saved action evaluation follow in the next milestone.
Add BACTION/BACTIONTOOL workflows for compatible parameter endpoints, selected geometry and native action markers. Persist Move/Scale records, target handles and evaluation graph bindings; reuse shared adjacency editing with Lookup and the existing palette, tooltips and selection UI.
Evaluate endpoint changes in the disposable Test Block document from immutable starting geometry, with geometry/grip undo, source isolation and transformed-reference support. Preserve visibility representations and their native Basepoint anchor. Refuse unsupported options, value constraints and shared test references.
This milestone supports default Move and uniform Scale on basic drawing entities. Other actions, custom options, live preview and ordinary drawing-reference evaluation remain pending.
Validation: self-contained synthetic DWG/DXF roundtrips, graph adjacency, command cancellation/history, Test Block isolation/undo, transformed references, visibility/Basepoint and real-view palette/viewport input checks; broader block and dock suites.
Keep action object selection active across mouse picks/removals and advance only on Enter. Cover empty selection, multiple targets, Shift removal, marker placement and Move/Scale Test Block evaluation using viewport mouse events. Verified 10 focused, 320 block and 39 dock tests (6 existing opt-in block checks ignored).
Add native Basepoint placement and relocation, shared insertion and Test Block anchor behavior, and attribute-safe coordinate reframing. Wire native Lookup parameter placement and the Property Lookup Table editor through the existing palettes and BLOOKUPTABLE.
Stage input columns, rows, reverse lookup and audit across multiple tables; apply all drafts atomically as one undo entry. Persist native Lookup actions and graph dependencies while preserving unrelated objects and IDs. New inputs cover Linear and Polar distances; reference Lookup evaluation and geometry actions remain separate work.
Pin codec c418d92, kernel 0f6f225 and graph dcb9eda for correct R2010 inline constraint-group decoding. The codec regression uses a checked-in synthetic DWG and reproducible generator, with normal self-contained loading and edited DWG/DXF tests. Keep dock control tests independent of scene adapter warning dialogs in software snapshots.
Validation covers native round trips, all 17 research fixtures, graph preservation, insertion and attributes, staged editing, undo/cancel, and real palette/dialog controls.
The codec now holds wide EntityType variants boxed (MText, Helix,
Dimension, Hatch, Viewport, MultiLeader, Surface, Table, Ole2Frame,
Light, Extended). Constructors box their entity; nested patterns reach
a dimension through entities::dimension::as_dimension(_mut). Also
follows BlockAction::action_ids, LineTypeComplexData::source_flags and
the decimal tab stop with an explicit character.

EED names its application by APPID handle. Copying between drawings
(paste, COPYTO, block palette insert, REFEDIT) kept the source
drawing's handles, so the saved DWG named APPIDs it did not have and
the reference program refused to open it (xdata.cpp eInvalidInput).
The copy now carries the APPID records its XDATA names, registers the
missing ones, and re-points the EED at them.
COPYTO also skipped every layer the target lacked (the check tested
the source) and filled the target with the whole linetype catalog; it
now copies the missing layers and loads only the linetypes used.

Only the definition's entities crossed drawings: its record's object
graph (parameters, visibility states, grips) stayed behind, and a
reference showing an evaluated copy lost the link to its definition.
The clipboard now captures the graph and the dynamic definition of an
evaluated reference, and paste and the block palette's insert-from-file
recreate them on the new records, re-pointing members and element tags.

The dimension style, multileader style and Properties pickers listed
every block of the drawing as an arrowhead, and nothing else. They now
list the 19 standard arrowheads (Closed filled, Open, Dot, Architectural
tick, Oblique, Right angle, Datum triangle, …), followed by any user
arrow block the dimension or style already uses. Picking one creates
its block (`_Open`, `_ArchTick`, …) with the geometry the reference
program writes, so other programs draw the same arrow; ODA reads the
saved file cleanly.
`_Small` now draws as the reference's "Dot small blank", a hollow circle
half the arrow size, instead of a small filled triangle.
Also drops a duplicated "DGN Import" catalog entry left by #1810/#1812.

Refuse LAYOUT, VPORTS, MVIEW, WBLOCK, PURGE, RENAME, REFEDIT,
REFEDIT_BEGIN and PLOT from the command line while a block editor
session is open, matching the reference product's
"<CMD> command not allowed in block editor" behaviour (spec section 8,
based on the V7 hands-on check). XREF, NEW, OPEN and SAVEAS stay
allowed. The service-level RENAME guard stays as defense in depth.
Enable the existing palette rows and BPARAMETER choices. Rotation accepts a
center, picked or numeric radius, and picked or numeric default angle.
Alignment places a tangent direction from its base point. Flip places a
reflection line and state label, with native grip and state expressions.
Extend shared graph append/capacity checks for Flip's additional state node
while preserving existing subgraphs. Keep Polar/Rotation angle labels unique
in either placement order. Add editor graphics, extents and definition
reframing through the existing overlay/history/save paths.
This milestone implements native parameter placement and persistence.
Rotate/Flip action association, reference alignment/grip editing, parameter
property editing and parameter sets remain separate work.
Validation covers command and palette placement, cancellation, local/parent
undo, save/discard, native DWG/DXF objects, existing graph preservation and
the 17 research fixtures. Broader block/dock regressions and editor renders
are also checked.
Enable the three existing palette rows and BPARAMETER choices. Pick a base,
endpoint and label location to create the appropriate native parameter, one
end grip and its location expressions in the shared authoring graph.
Render editor dimensions and labels, preserve them when reframing the block,
and include them in editor extents. Reuse local undo/redo, save/discard and
native DWG/DXF persistence. Reject incomplete or invalid placement without
changing document data or history.
This milestone implements parameter placement. Action association/evaluation,
parameter property editing, alternate grip counts and parameter sets remain
separate work.
Validation: focused placement and palette interaction checks; Block Editor and
dock regressions; native append and DWG/DXF round trips in all 17 research
fixtures, preserving existing graph data and source files; app-view renders.
Enable Point in Authoring Palettes and BPARAMETER. Pick parameter and label
positions, then create the native Point, XY grip and position expressions in
one undo transaction. Draw editor-only markers and clear placement previews.
Share graph append construction with Visibility so both types coexist in
either order. Allocate node, expression and edge IDs independently; preserve
existing objects, nodes and relationships and reject malformed/opaque graphs.
Reframe parameter, label and grip with the edited definition. Include authoring
positions in editor framing while keeping reference geometry extents unchanged.
Retain save/discard and parent saved-edit undo. Action association/evaluation
and parameter property editing remain separate milestones.
Validation: 10 targeted, 286 block and 60 dock checks passed (overlapping
filters). Appending a Point to an existing native graph passed DWG/DXF
roundtrips in all 17 local fixtures; old objects and original checksums stayed
unchanged. Real-view palette interaction and rendered marker/label verified.
Milestone 1: enable Parameters > Visibility and add interactive
BPARAMETER VISIBILITY placement using the existing native visibility
parameter, grip and state engine. Bare BPARAMETER currently offers only
Visibility; other parameter, action and set entries remain unavailable.
Show the placed parameter in the editor and support cancel, local undo/
redo, save/discard and saved-edit undo. Bind placement to its document
and definition, reject duplicates and invalid points, and protect existing
authoring graphs from replacement.
Keep visibility parameters and their grips aligned with geometry when a
BEDIT UCS change reframes the definition, including parameter-only blocks.
Validation: 9 targeted tests, 272 block checks and 58 dock checks passed
(overlapping groups). All 17 local DWG fixtures passed in-memory DWG/DXF
placement roundtrips and graph-preservation checks; originals unchanged.
The DGN V7/V8 readers expose each element (level, symbology, geometry,
complex chains, text nodes, shared cells). DGNIMPORT / -DGNIMPORT convert a
model with the Standard mapping into a new drawing; IMPORT opens the
Import File window and routes PDF and DGN files to their importers.

The paste adds entities to the document directly, so the fill and raster
models `add_entity` seeds were never built. An associative hatch got its
model back when its pasted boundary rebuilt it; a non-associative one
stayed in the drawing but was never drawn. Seed the fill, image and
underlay models of the pasted entities. (#1807)

TEXT and MTEXT objects are merged into one MTEXT (top-down or in
selection order, word-wrapped or one paragraph per object, with the
original pitch kept as line spacing) or each TEXT and MTEXT line becomes
an MTEXT of its own. The SEttings option opens the Combine Text settings
dialog; the settings persist as profile values and are exposed as the
TXT2MTXT* variables and the txt2mtxt_settings automation action.

With dynamic UCS on (UCSDETECT 1, toggled with F6), a command's first
point picked on a planar face of a solid sets the UCS to that face for
the rest of the command, so 2D commands draw on the face (#1711). An
unsnapped first point lands on the face itself; a snapped point off the
face's plane belongs to other geometry and leaves the UCS alone. The
previous UCS comes back when the command ends. UCS commands themselves
are left out.

The name card draws the selected objects, or the existing definition the
name picks. OK with no objects shows an in-window band offering to select
objects or to define an empty block. A switch opens the new block in the
block editor once it is defined; it is remembered with the other dialog
choices. Automation gains block_def_dialog.

- block-def strings in every locale (English until translated); the
catalog test requires each locale to carry them.
- A new block's base point starts at 0, and ATTMAN / BATTMAN report a
drawing without attributed blocks; the tests expect that now.
- Lines over 100 columns wrapped.

The count was keyed on the gathering command's address, so a command
boxed where the previous one was (MOVE right after MOVE) inherited its
selection and reported its first pick as a duplicate. Drop the report
whenever no command is running.

-BLOCK, -WBLOCK, -BEDIT, ATTSYNC, BASE and INSBASE follow the reference
prompts and messages; empty blocks; WBLOCK keeps object coordinates and
stores INSBASE; annotative and hyperlink data on the block record; block
preview images; remembered dialog choices; block aliases.

- True Color opens in RGB; the gradient field, hex and nearest index sit
at the bottom so CMYK's fourth slider doesn't move them; slider rows
closer together.
- Document tab: grid or list view (list drawn like the colour-book bars),
and Name A–Z / Z–A sorting (translated in all locales). Swatches of
colour-book colours show the colour's name.
- A colour-book colour picked as the current colour (nothing selected)
keeps its BOOK$NAME on the objects drawn with it.

The count line now uses the objects the selection step itself picked
(a click, a window or crossing, a lasso, a fence, Last / Previous /
All): "N found (D duplicate), M total" when some were chosen already,
"N found, R removed, M total" in remove mode, "N found, M total" when a
removal picks objects that were not chosen.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Every pick during object selection prints the reference's count line:
"N found" for the first pick or a pick that adds nothing, "N found,
M total" after it, "N found, N removed, M total" when objects leave the
set. It is printed before a command's own filtering, so "N were filtered
out" follows it. COUNT reports through it and the ad hoc
"object(s) found." / "object(s) added to selection." lines are gone.

Create a new named definition from current session edits, restore the source checkpoint, and continue editing the copy with fresh local history. Add the name dialog and Save dropdown, clone supported owned metadata onto independent handles, and refuse unsupported relationships atomically.
Ctrl+click on a polyline selects the segment under the cursor (again to
drop it); several segments can be picked. Only the picked segments are
highlighted, and MOVE, ROTATE, SCALE and MIRROR then change just their
vertices, so the neighbouring segments stretch to follow. Any other
selected objects are transformed whole as before.

COMPARE picks a drawing (or takes its path) and matches its objects with
this drawing's by what they draw: type, layer and tessellated geometry,
so an unchanged copy matches whatever its handle. Objects only here are
outlined in green, objects only in the other drawing in red, over the
current drawing, and Next / Previous zoom from one difference to the
next with a count in the prompt. A moved or edited object shows as one
of each. eXit (or Esc) clears the overlay.

With the new Associative option on (the default), ARRAYRECT and
ARRAYPOLAR build the array the way the drawing format stores one: the
selected objects move into an anonymous source block, an anonymous
array block holds one ByBlock reference to it per item, an INSERT of
the array block takes their place, and an AcDbAssocAction with an
AcDbAssocArrayActionBody, its three dependencies, the BaseNormal /
Origin / basePoint parameters and the value parameters tie them
together in the model-space network. The array is then edited from
Properties like an array read from a file.
The option flips with AS and is remembered for the session; on a
rotated working plane the commands keep making plain copies. Saving
drops the action of an array whose reference was erased or exploded.
Checked: created arrays reopen as associative with their parameters
and items, and the ODA converter reads the saved DWG without errors.

ADJUST gathers raster images or PDF/DWF/DGN underlays (other objects are
dropped silently, pickfirst is used, a mixed set is refused), then asks the
image option (Brightness default) or the underlay option (last used), with
value prompts that offer the image's own value or the session's last
underlay fade/contrast, and Monochrome Yes/No. Invalid values re-prompt.
One undo step. -IMAGEADJUST, PDFADJUST, DWFADJUST and DGNADJUST take one
kind each. Raster image Brightness/Contrast/Fade move to an Image Adjust
section as whole numbers with 0-100 validation.

In model space MVSETUP draws the sheet border at the drawing scale
(scale factor, paper width and height) and zooms to it, or switches to
a layout. On a layout it creates viewports in a bounding area (a single
one, a 2x2 engineering set of top/front/right/isometric views, or an
array with spacing), deletes picked objects, and scales picked
viewports to a paper/model unit ratio.
A viewport's fit to the model now measures the model along the
viewport's own view direction, so side and isometric views frame it
too.

DVIEW (alias DV) offers TWist and Undo. TWist rolls the active view

twists made in the session. The new alias reaches existing profiles
through the alias migration table.

Typing <angle at a point prompt (e.g. <30) now fixes the direction of
the next point from the last one until a point is placed: the cursor
moves along that direction, and a bare number entered next is the
distance along it. The angle is read in the drawing's angle base and
direction and turned into the current UCS. Works from the command line
and from scripts or the automation token input alike.
Fixes#1464

Introduce would_create_cycle in block_service to prevent recursive block definitions with case-insensitive matching across block records. Enforce cycle refusal at INSERT commit in BEDIT and during block redefinition (redefine_block_raw) with a shared error message. Ensure render-time recursion truncates safely with a one-time session warning on cyclic documents.
world = insert_point + Rot * Scale * (P - base_point). Attribute placement, EXPLODE, XCLIP storage, REFEDIT's working copy, the UCS reframe of attributes and the dynamic-block visibility grip ignored the base point and were offset by Rot*Scale*base. They now share insert_transform_with_base. Creation stores a ZERO base and redefine resets it; a no-op redefine moves nothing; the Block Definition dialog prefills the base from the definition. XCLIP filters stored by older builds keep their old displacement.
bake_dimension_blocks copied the dimension's whole EntityCommon, including its extension dictionary handle, into every baked child, so many entities claimed one dictionary and file validation reported an error per entity. Baked children now get no extension dictionary. The same defect is fixed in define_transformed_block and the cross-document paste clone. Each has a test.
