# Scordelis–Lo roof with one layer of hex20 reduced-integration solids Our model of the published problem: a cylindrical roof of radius 25, length 50, thickness 0.25, spanning ±40°, E = 4.32 × 10⁸, ν = 0, self-weight 90 per unit area (a body force 90/t), supported by rigid diaphragms at its curved ends (u_y = u_z = 0 there) and free along its straight edges. One quarter with symmetry planes, 16 × 16 hex20 reduced-integration elements, one through the thickness (MacNeal and Harder list the roof as a solid-element test, Table 1).
