bherbruck c1d819f235 feat: preserve body history and placed modelling workflows
Record ownership transfers in the timeline so earlier Join/Cut membership,
world placement, machining data and styles survive component moves, edits,
independent copying, undo and reopening. Preserve pending positions in history
snapshots and keep constructor transfers ordered during feature redefinition.

Retain shallow sheet pockets and exact planar intersection islands through
unfold/refold, with depth-aware flat previews and DXF export. Store explicit
3D wire coordinate spaces and migrate known legacy provenance without moving
saved points or analytic fits.

Infer unique eligible cylindrical Emboss targets, align Revolve manipulators
with actual extent geometry, and discard obsolete preview errors after input
correction. Certify constructed and immutable imported face styles using exact
source metadata while preserving legacy face names. Upgrade designs to format10
with bounded validation and geometry-preserving legacy migration.

CypherNaugh_0x ade30e9c4e Merge origin/main (with #86): sketch.dimension reports the solved value in the dimension's unit; the spout test expects the solved 30 and 60 degrees 2026-10-11 00:13:51 +02:00
CypherNaugh_0x 9c09e82cff sketch.dimension reports measured on the solved sketch: it reported the value the geometry had before the new dimension was solved, so dimensioning a 99.84 mm trough line to 100 answered measured: 99.84 and looked like the dimension had not taken. The command now measures the new dimension again once the sketch is solved (driven dimensions too), through a new solvecraft_sketch::measure_dimension that shares the solver's own measuring. Tests: lengths, a driven distance and a diameter report their solved values 2026-10-11 00:01:19 +02:00

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d40ef5bbdc 3D sketch: with 3D Sketch on, the Line, Spline and Point tools take points off the sketch plane, snapping to model vertices, edges and faces and to drawn 3D points (segments that stay on the plane are ordinary sketch lines); drawn 3D curves are wires with fit points (sketch.line3d, sketch.spline3d: centripetal Catmull-Rom, sketch.point3d), a clicked 3D point gets a move triad (drag along X/Y/Z or parallel to the sketch plane: sketch.move3d, joined ends move together), Delete removes it; sweep and pipe paths may mix 3D curves with sketch curves; control: ui.triad, ui.worldToScreen

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 bbd0a19260 Sketch Palette, docked at the right while sketching: line type of the selected curves (normal, construction, centerline), Look At, and options kept with each sketch (sketch.options: Sketch Grid, Snap, Slice, Show Profile, Show Points, Show Dimensions, Show Constraints, Show Projected Geometries, 3D Sketch), the degrees of freedom, Finish Sketch. Slice cuts the model at the sketch plane; Snap off places points at the cursor

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 7f9a8f2afd Two-entity constraints move only the second pick (tangent, parallel, perpendicular, equal, concentric, coincident, collinear, symmetric, midpoint): the constraint is applied with the first entity held (solve_holding), the second keeping its size where it can (lines turn and slide, circles translate), then resizing; if the second is fixed, projected or fully constrained the first moves instead, and if neither can the constraint is refused and nothing changes; later solves hold nothing. Context-menu constraints keep the selection order; a curve picked before a point puts the point on the curve

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 187ffd0a03 Sketch dimensions drawn as dimensions: extension lines, dimension lines and arcs with arrowheads (flipped outside when tight), the value centred on the line (fx: for expressions), R/Ø leaders, angle arcs, arc-length mark, driven ones in parentheses in a muted colour; click selects, Delete removes, drag moves the text (sketch.dimension_text, kept relative to the dimension), double-click edits the value in place with parameter completion

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 31030ed008 Exact free-form profiles: geom Seg2 gains cubic Béziers and conics (rational quadratics: exact length, area, split, tangents); sketch ellipses, conics, text, fit splines and control splines up to degree 3 enter profiles as exact segments wherever a loop uses a whole segment, and the kernel builds them as B-spline / NURBS edges (an extruded ellipse is three faces with the exact volume)

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 54ee20bef4 Sketch constraints and dimensions: Curvature (G2, ConstraintSmooth) and Polygon constraints; redundant constraints and dimensions are refused as over-constraining (Fusion behaviour), with driven (reference) dimensions that measure instead; arc length and linear diameter (about a centerline) dimensions; sketch.glyphs (constraint glyph anchors, conflicts) and sketch.snap (coincident/midpoint/on-curve/horizontal/vertical inference); solver damping floor keeps weakly seen variables from flying off
