Pages: General (theme Dark/Light/System, UI scale, units of new designs, autosave, display
precision, the agent cursor), Navigation (Fusion, SolidWorks, Inventor, Alias and Tinkercad
mouse presets, reverse zoom, zoom to the cursor, orbit centre, view-change animation on/off and
speed), Keyboard Shortcuts (the old Shortcuts window as a page: search, rebind, conflicts),
Design (default modelling orientation Y up / Z up for #3, and the offer to stand up a Y-up STEP
or IGES file: a quarter turn about X as one undoable Move), Graphics, Sketch, Selection.
Changes apply at once; Cancel or Esc puts back what was there when the dialog opened, Apply
keeps them, OK closes, Restore Defaults resets the page. The theme, ground shadow and agent
cursor settings are now kept between runs. File and Help › Keyboard Shortcuts open the page;
the unused docked Preferences dialog is gone. Control: ui.prefs {open, button, stand_up, …}.
Scenario s45_preferences; tests for Cancel/Apply/defaults and standing a Y-up file up.

The title bar's ×, File ▸ Quit, the OS closing the window (Alt+F4, Cmd+Q, the window manager:
close_requested is cancelled until the designs are answered) and app.quit / ui.window close all
go through documents::request_quit, which asks Save / Don't Save / Cancel once per design with
unsaved changes. Save saves (Save As for a never-saved design) and quits only if it saved; Don't
Save discards (no recovery copy is kept); Cancel or Esc stays open. Closing a tab asks the same
question (now titled "Save changes to <name>?"); New and Open never replace an unsaved design
(they open a tab). The web app asks through beforeunload while a design is unsaved. Control:
ui.documents {action: quit, answer: save|dont_save|cancel}, app.quit {force}. Tests: quit with
Save then Don't Save across two tabs, Cancel, a Save that saves nothing, Save As; scenario
s43_quit_asks_to_save.

The old ids live only in crates/engine/src/legacy_ids.rs (the legacy migration table): find_command maps them, so old scripts, recipes and control calls keep working, and saved shortcuts, recent and pinned commands are migrated on load (designs store no command ids). Parity maps the observed catalog ids to ours through xtask/data/fusion-ids.tsv. The agent rule now reads: our own dotted id, never another product's. Cargo.toml's repository points at github.com/bherbruck/solvecraft.

Start page (shown on launch without a file, and from the house button in the application bar):
New Design, Open, recent designs (kept in the preferences, newest first) and built-in samples,
each card with a picture rendered from the design in the background. Samples are scripts of
engine commands: the sample plate plus a sheet metal bracket, a hinge assembly with a revolute
joint, a plastic enclosure (lip, bosses, rest, snap fit), a bolted flange with a parametric
circular pattern and a vent plate with a parametric rectangular pattern (test: all build
without a failing feature).
Several open designs as tabs in the application bar: each keeps its own session (undo,
selection), camera and hidden/shown items; + and Ctrl+N open a new design, opening a file or a
sample uses a new tab unless the current design is blank, closing a tab with unsaved changes
asks Save / Don't Save / Cancel. Control channel: ui.documents and ui.home (docs/control-protocol.md).

ASSEMBLE panel (SOLID, SHEET METAL, PLASTIC): New Component, Joint, As-built Joint, Joint Origin,
Rigid Group, Drive Joints, Motion Link, Interference. Joint origins are picked by hovering:
faces snap to their centre (round faces to the centre of the nearer end), edges to their middle
(round edges to their centre), vertices to themselves, shown as glyphs with their z axis. The
Joint dialog has the motion type, angle, offsets X/Y/Z, flip, per-value limits and Animate (the
preview plays the motion); joints and drives preview on the placed model (world states).
Drive Joints moves live with a slider. Interference lists the overlaps and shows them red.
Joints appear in the timeline and in a Browser Joints folder (edit, drive, suppress, delete).
SHEET METAL tab in Fusion's layout: Flange (base, edge or contour, from the picks; height arrow
on the canvas), Hem, Unfold, Refold, Convert to Sheet Metal, Sheet Metal Rules (rule manager),
Create Flat Pattern (flat view with up/down bend lines, bend table, DXF export).
PLASTIC tab with SETUP: Boss, Lip/Groove, Snap Fit, Rest, Manage and Assign Plastic Rules; Rib,
Web and the shared solid commands on the tab.
Every feature dialog has live preview, Edit Feature and pre-selection; icons drawn in code.
Toolbar layout per tab in workspace.rs; tests for the dialog to command mapping.

Edit Sketch rolls the timeline back to just after the sketch and faces it;
Finish Sketch, Esc (once nothing else is left to cancel) and editing another
feature all leave it, restoring the marker and the previous view. Editing the
open sketch again is a no-op and editing another sketch switches cleanly.
The control channel's ui.click takes double: true.

Export: ExportCommand/CLI --out/MCP export with .3mf write a 3MF Core package
([Content_Types].xml, _rels/.rels, 3D/3dmodel.model; millimetres), one
mesh object and build item per body, named after it, vertices shared and
welded watertight (T-junctions between faces split), base-material colours
when bodies carry one (STEP colours now ride on bodies). Tessellation as
for STL. File > Export 3MF.
Import: doc.open/drag-drop/CLI/MCP open accept .3mf and .stl; Insert Mesh
(ParaMeshInsertAlignCommand) adds them to a design as a MeshImport feature.
Kernel mesh bodies render, measure exactly, move and export; solid
features refuse them with a clear error. 3MF reading flattens components
and build transforms, converts units, reads colours; sizes, entries,
nesting and element counts are capped.

Import base feature (FeatureKind::Import, timeline type BaseFeature) holding
the STEP text and the file's product tree; bodies named from the file.
doc.open accepts .step/.stp (any case) as a new design; Insert STEP
(FusionImportCommandFromToolbar) adds one to the current design; File menu,
SOLID > INSERT, drag-and-drop (insert into a non-empty design, else open),
'solvecraft part.step', MCP open. Features (fillet, hole, sketch-on-face
cut, shell) work on imported bodies. Imports are cached so a file is read
once per command. Measure tightens its chord tolerance for small radii.
