bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d10312b7fd Command ids are SolveCraft's own: 173 ids that were another product's internal command ids become dotted, lower-case ids (<area>.<thing>[.<variant>]: solid.extrude, sketch.rectangle.two_point, sheet.flange, joint.drive, ...), in the registry, toolbar, dialogs, shortcuts, palette, control channel, MCP, examples, scenarios and docs
The old ids live only in crates/engine/src/legacy_ids.rs (the legacy migration table): find_command maps them, so old scripts, recipes and control calls keep working, and saved shortcuts, recent and pinned commands are migrated on load (designs store no command ids). Parity maps the observed catalog ids to ours through xtask/data/fusion-ids.tsv. The agent rule now reads: our own dotted id, never another product's. Cargo.toml's repository points at github.com/bherbruck/solvecraft.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 3f44110b59 One frame for every window (frame.rs): command dialogs dock right and shrink to their content (260 to 380 px, 560 for table dialogs), floating windows are centred and capped (460 px, 760 for tables); header and footer rows right-align without stretching the dialog, long texts wrap; all windows migrated; tests: no egui::Window outside frame.rs, every command's dialog and the floating windows measured within limits

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 acc7b83625 UI scenarios are found, not listed: build.rs makes one test per tests/scenarios/*.json, named after the file, and a scenario waiting for a fix says so in its own file with a {"pending": "why"} step (its test is ignored with that reason). No shared list to edit, no numbering required

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 305c1c9a9b Dragging sketch geometry snaps like Fusion: a dragged point (or a line dragged by its body, by its ends) snaps onto other points, line midpoints and curves, and letting go there adds the coincident, midpoint or point-on-curve constraint in the drag's undo step; it lines up horizontally and vertically with other points (dashed guides, no constraint). Snap distances in screen pixels; Ctrl or Alt held turns snapping off, also while drawing. Ring and Pt/Mid/On label on the snap. Scenario s42 (coincident and DOF, exact H alignment without a constraint, Ctrl-drag, undo, line body drag); ui.drag hold_end; synthetic drags keep their modifiers

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 c45f3173fa QA targets for the newest UX reports (pending until their owners land): s37 browser chevrons on every node kind (all toggle; no Joints folder yet), s38 view animations to Top/Bottom end without a jump (the last frame turns 22.5 degrees today), s39 view cube edge/corner hover lights 2/3 patches, s40 toolbar Pin/Remove/reorder survive a restart and the workspace switcher spans the toolbar; ui_layout tests: every command dialog docked right at 260-380 px (or 480-560 for tables; the exploded view is 635), other windows fit on screen. Harness: published rects and counts, browser rows/fold arrows as handles, camera and view_anim steps, ui.at cube points, settings carried over a close restart, an adhoc scenario runner

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 1e8fc25976 X and the toolbar's Construction no longer start a pick tool (Fusion has none): with a selection they convert it, with nothing selected they switch construction mode, outside a sketch they say so. Center Rectangle draws both diagonals as construction, the centre at their crossing, with only the first carrying the midpoint constraint (the second is implied), so a fresh one stays at 4 DOF. Scenarios s30 (pattern a hole) and s32 (cut in the active component) enabled now that b36b332 is on main

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 90873e51bb Construction mode like Fusion: with nothing selected, X (or the toolbar's Construction, or the Sketch Palette's Linetype) switches the drawing line type, so new curves are construction (or centerline) until switched back, the active mode highlighted in the palette and named in the status bar; with a selection they convert it as before; the line type is part of the drawing's undo step. Scenarios: s35 construction mode, s36 the Sketch Palette shows while sketching (also over the tools, back after a window closes, both themes) and goes with the sketch; harness shown/not_shown checks

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 7a2eb059c4 Components are frames (user bug #4)
What a component holds moves with its occurrence, and picks in the world land in the
component's frame:
- Sketches and construction planes show where their component is placed (free move, joint
drive, Capture Position); sketch.inspect reports sketch points in the world.
- frames.rs maps a command's world picks into the frame of the body they lie on (through the
inverse of its placement: a moved component or a pasted instance), points that make new
geometry into the active component's frame, and directions with them; instance body names
  ("Body1 (Pin:2)") become the component's body. Fillet/chamfer edges, shell/offset/draft
faces, face extrude/revolve, sketch on face, holes, sheet metal and plastic picks, primitives,
appearance faces, analyses. Once per command (not again for commands run by commands); the
active-frame fallback stays for commands without a table. Nothing changes while every
  placement is the identity.
- component.move_bodies keeps a body where it is in the world (Document.body_offsets: from the
new component's frame to the one it was made in; renames and deleted components follow).
- The UI reads the placed model (Session::world_state) for display, picking, sketch editing and
dialogs; live previews use it once anything is placed.
Tests (engine): sketches and construction planes move (and turn) with the component; world
picks fillet, sketch, hole and make boxes in a moved component; a pick on a pasted instance;
move_bodies keeps the world place there and back; a sketch on a face follows a Move feature.
QA's s34 now runs.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 59b59a83e6 UI scenarios: the user's four open bugs as ignored targets (s31 sketch on a face projects its loops, s32 a cut in the active component leaves others alone, s33 Move opens at 0 and its X arrow moves along X, s34 moving a component carries its sketches); Fold, configurations, motion study and autosave/recovery enabled against the landed features (s22–s25); retests: fillets follow their edge after a sketch edit (s06 volume, s15 widens the sample plate), one canvas panel (s19); s30 patterns a hole as a feature (ignored: one hole results). Harness: manipulator handles published by name (scenario::publish_handle; ui.at {handle}; timeline items as timeline:<name>), restart after a crash or close, autosave into the scenario's folder, exact widget text before menu-label prefixes, checks for sketch curves, body volume and sketch points in the world

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 8dbecb462a Fold dialog (SHEET METAL > Fold); configurations and motion study dialogs pass their scenarios
Fold: the bend line (a sketch line), an optional stationary side, Bend Line Position
(centerline, start, end, outside mould line), angle (on the canvas), bend radius (default from
the rule) and flip; live preview and Edit Feature (folds made from two points keep them). Its
own icon; listed after Hem on the SHEET METAL tab and in the timeline.

Configurations: Add Column lists parameters and features to pick, Add Row names the new row
Configuration<N> when no name is typed, bare numbers show with their parameter's unit, the row
name comes before its Activate button, and Enter commits a cell instead of closing the panel.
Motion Study: steps default to the engine's 100, the key's value row is "Value" and Enter there
commits the key (OK makes the study).

Scenarios s22 (fold, flat pattern, DXF; the expected volume is the folded sheet's, the bend
keeping the neutral layer), s23 (configurations) and s24 (motion study) now run.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 5096bf2442 Dialogs for contact sets, motion studies, exploded views and configurations; Drive scenario
Wired to solvecraft-params' contact, motion, explode and configuration commands (verified under Xvfb: a study keyed 0 to 60 deg plays, an explosion previews and OK keeps it, Activate switches configurations, Check collisions lists overlaps):
- Contact Set: components to a new set; the sets with suppress and delete; contact on/off;
  Check collisions (contact.check).
- Motion Study: tracks of keyed joint values on a strip under the steps, keys added and edited
at the playhead, a step slider with Play; the pose at the step is shown (motion.play on a
scratch copy, as pending moves) and put back when the dialog closes.
- Exploded View: a scale slider showing the explosion live; OK creates and shows the view.
- Configurations: the table (rows by columns of parameters and suppressed features), cells
edited in place, Activate per row, rows and columns added and removed.
The ASSEMBLE panel lists the motion and contact commands once they exist. Tests for the pose,
table and study mappings.

Scenario s13: Drive Joints takes typed input without a click.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 829c4a2811 UI scenarios, batch 3: plastic enclosure (shell, boss, lip, snap fit), appearance then STEP and 3MF export with the colour, start page sample edited, saved and reopened, two design tabs with their own undo, the S toolbox and V visibility, 3D sketch lines snapped to the model then a pipe along them, canvas inserted and calibrated, section analysis with a joint driven. Harness: until (waits for background work), make_image, widget near a label, checks for files' text, start page, open designs, design name, hidden bodies, canvas width and section. Fixes: Enter in the S command search runs the first match (it read the focus after taking it back); Sketch Palette toggles are checkboxes with their labels (click the text to toggle); a dialog test no longer panics dropping unpainted textures

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 187e9a97b9 UI scenarios, batch 2: edit an early sketch from the timeline, components with a revolute joint driven to 90°, sheet metal base and edge flange to flat pattern and DXF, STEP export, new design and STEP insert with a hole on the imported face, parameters table drives the model, sketch constraints workflow (dimensions, delete and undo, fix, construction), rectangular pattern. Harness: widgets found by their text through the accessibility tree, file pickers answered from the scenario's folder, model renders at shot steps (SOLVECRAFT_SCENARIO_SHOTS), query/file checks; ui.at takes a dimension. Fix: a click on a sketch point under a dimension line (a diameter through the centre) selects the point; only the dimension's text takes precedence

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d5b8aa0375 User scenarios in the real UI, headless: scenario::Harness draws the app frame by frame into an egui context and drives it with control-channel input (toolbar starts, clicks on world/sketch/origin-plane/axis points, keys, typing, drags) and checks the model; tests/scenarios/*.json: box with fillets, shell and hole; revolve on XZ; sketch on a face and cut; mirror; delete and undo. Control: ui.at, ui.dialogInput. Fixes found by them: a shape started on an existing point (the origin, a corner) is tied to it; the Dimension tool's value is edited in place with the value selected, so typing replaces it
