While a sketch is open its grid is drawn on the sketch's own plane, centred
near the view target and snapped to the major step, whatever the Grid switch,
the sketch's Sketch Grid option or Grid follows the view say. Headless window
pictures follow. Outside a sketch nothing changes.

Show each dimension's parameter name while creating or editing it, and let
users insert another driving dimension at the expression cursor or selection.
Use the available editor width and keep Apply aligned with the right edge.
Add a tools dropdown with Measure, named user parameter expressions, and
access to the existing parameter table for adding and editing parameters.
Preserve the unfinished dimension expression while either window is open.
Cover reference insertion, dependent updates, parameter selection, dialog
round trips, applying and cancellation with UI integration tests. Update the
parameter guide.

The toolbar gives up room in small steps (labels shorten, then icons only, then panels hand buttons to their drop-down one at a time, then trailing panels go to the » menu) instead of collapsing whole panels, so medium-width windows no longer lose icons or leave a blank gap.
Preferences > Graphics grew a row (Grid follows the view, #2035), so the Colour vision
control now sits below the fold of the fixed-size page; the scenario scrolls to it.
The page itself already scrolls for real users.

#1583 turned the grid to the upright origin plane in side views for
everyone. That is now Preferences > Grid follows the view, off by
default; headless pictures keep the ground grid.

#1752 listed cs as complete, but it lacks messages added to en.json since,
which failed the completeness test on main. Missing messages fall back
to English until the catalog catches up.

* claim: #1801
* Insert SVG: the file picker opens on SVG files (#1801)
Every Open went through one host picker whose filters start with designs, CAD
files and meshes, so Insert SVG (and Insert DXF) in a sketch opened on STEP,
IGES and meshes, and the SVG file had to be found under another filter.
The host's pick_open now takes the extensions the command reads and offers
them as the picker's first, default filter. Insert SVG and Insert DXF pass
their type; every other Open passes none and keeps the list it had. The
browser host ignores them (it shows its own file panel).
