Motion links can carry a coupling (gear pair, rack and pinion, screw) whose ratio follows radii, picked round faces or pitch. Design format 23.

A motion link's ratio is read in b's units per a's (mm per degree, degrees per mm) when an angle and a distance are linked; stored values stay per radian, so saved designs are unchanged. Follow-up to #1415.

joint.motion_link offset is read in the linked value's units (degrees or mm, or an expression); links are still stored in radians, so saved designs open unchanged. A new joint whose values fall outside its limits starts at the nearer limit, stores it, and says so in warnings. Loop dof also counts at a nearby pose, so a part at a dead point of its loop keeps its mobility. The mechanisms skill is updated to match.
The Joint and As-built Joint dialogs explain why picks make no joint and offer Create Components from Bodies when every pick is on one component; joint.create and joint.as_built suggest component.from_bodies. Labels in all catalogs. Fixes#1239.
Drive Joints opens on the joint picked in the browser, else the first joint that moves, and won't start on a rigid joint. ui.start takes params: joint.drive opens on a joint (id or name) at given values, driving nothing until OK; a command or param it doesn't take is refused.
A control-channel method that reads the orbit camera, sets any of target/yaw/pitch/roll/distance, and fits listed occurrences (or everything) keeping the direction. Its reply passed back sets the same view again; a refused field changes nothing.
joint.drive answers moved, and a reason (with unconnected) when the joint can move nothing; motion.play answers moved and unmoved; joint.list answers floating chains. joint.drive values come back in joint.list's shape (deg/mm). quiet: true trims joint answers and motion.play poses. A single value keeps a joint's other values. Drive Joints shows the floating case (drive.unconnected, all locales).
Browser rows that are names someone gave (bodies, sketches, components, joints, views...) show as typed instead of being translated as UI labels; default names like Sketch1 are still translated. Fixes#1228.
Colour vision modes (Protan, Deutan, Tritan) in Preferences > Graphics, with palettes, shader and icon colours adapted per mode, translations and tests.
Completes the Japanese catalog (all commands, panels, dialogs and preferences) and routes the remaining hard-coded UI labels through the translation lookup. English stays the default.
The feature history can sit in a panel on the left, with folders that hold one unbroken run of features, drag and drop as one undo step, and a resizable divider. Timeline folders save under format 17.
When sample points say two bodies are apart or one is inside the other, the facetings are now checked for surfaces passing through each other; if they do, the boolean is computed instead of shortcut. If it still can't be intersected, the sampled answer is kept as a flagged, unverified result, and Interference lists such pairs as "could not be checked" with the reason. Fixes#442 and #443.

* Honor design units in sketch dimensions and measurements
* fix: apply document units to specialized length controls
* Accept explicit units in length fields; document design-unit dimension values
Length fields in a design-unit control now evaluate what is typed as a
length expression: a bare number stays in the design's units, while an
explicit unit ("10 mm", "0.5 in", "1 in + 5 mm") is converted.
Document that a bare numeric sketch.dimension value from scripts, the
control channel or MCP is read in the design's units.

Record ownership transfers in the timeline so earlier Join/Cut membership,
world placement, machining data and styles survive component moves, edits,
independent copying, undo and reopening. Preserve pending positions in history
snapshots and keep constructor transfers ordered during feature redefinition.
Retain shallow sheet pockets and exact planar intersection islands through
unfold/refold, with depth-aware flat previews and DXF export. Store explicit
3D wire coordinate spaces and migrate known legacy provenance without moving
saved points or analytic fits.
Infer unique eligible cylindrical Emboss targets, align Revolve manipulators
with actual extent geometry, and discard obsolete preview errors after input
correction. Certify constructed and immutable imported face styles using exact
source metadata while preserving legacy face names. Upgrade designs to format10
with bounded validation and geometry-preserving legacy migration.
The old ids live only in crates/engine/src/legacy_ids.rs (the legacy migration table): find_command maps them, so old scripts, recipes and control calls keep working, and saved shortcuts, recent and pinned commands are migrated on load (designs store no command ids). Parity maps the observed catalog ids to ours through xtask/data/fusion-ids.tsv. The agent rule now reads: our own dotted id, never another product's. Cargo.toml's repository points at github.com/bherbruck/solvecraft.

The standard parts library by type (with its ISO standard), size and length, the size's table
values and a picture of the part; picking a hole's wall or rim seats it there with a rigid joint
(the live preview shows it seated), without a pick it goes at the origin. Opens on
FusionFastenersCommand (and parts.insert); OK runs FusionFastenersCommand. Its own icon.
Insert's world picks (`at`, `point`, `direction`) go through the component frames like other
picks. Tests for the library parsing and the insert parameters; checked in the app: an M3 socket
head cap screw seated in a drilled hole with its joint.

What a component holds moves with its occurrence, and picks in the world land in the
component's frame:
- Sketches and construction planes show where their component is placed (free move, joint
drive, Capture Position); sketch.inspect reports sketch points in the world.
- frames.rs maps a command's world picks into the frame of the body they lie on (through the
inverse of its placement: a moved component or a pasted instance), points that make new
geometry into the active component's frame, and directions with them; instance body names
("Body1 (Pin:2)") become the component's body. Fillet/chamfer edges, shell/offset/draft
faces, face extrude/revolve, sketch on face, holes, sheet metal and plastic picks, primitives,
appearance faces, analyses. Once per command (not again for commands run by commands); the
active-frame fallback stays for commands without a table. Nothing changes while every
placement is the identity.
- component.move_bodies keeps a body where it is in the world (Document.body_offsets: from the
new component's frame to the one it was made in; renames and deleted components follow).
- The UI reads the placed model (Session::world_state) for display, picking, sketch editing and
dialogs; live previews use it once anything is placed.
Tests (engine): sketches and construction planes move (and turn) with the component; world
picks fillet, sketch, hole and make boxes in a moved component; a pick on a pasted instance;
move_bodies keeps the world place there and back; a sketch on a face follows a Move feature.
QA's s34 now runs.

Joint dialog: picked origins mate as in Fusion, B's z opposite A's (two top faces put B upside
down on A, not inside it; a pin goes into its hole); the dialog's Flip turns B the other way
(sent as the command's flip, which turns B over from coinciding frames). Edit Joint shows the
same. Found by solvecraft-sketchux's scenarios.
Drive Joints: the first value box takes the keyboard with its text selected when the dialog
opens, so typing 90 and Enter drives the joint (found by solvecraft-sketchux).
Appearance: "In This Design" from appearance.list (in_design) when the engine has it; faces are
sent as face targets once the engine knows them.
Tests: face snaps mate face to face and Flip undoes it; typing into Drive Joints drives.

Clicking OK during the Joint dialog's motion animation was lost about half the time: the
preview's busy spinner came and went in the dialog footer between frames, shifting the
automatic ids of OK and Cancel, so a click pressed in one frame and released in the next landed
on two different ids. The spinner's place is now always taken. Reproduced through the control
channel (6 of 14 OK clicks at different animation phases lost before, 0 of 14 after) and
covered by a test that presses OK with the preview busy and releases it once idle.
The Joints folder is drawn by component_rows for the root, after its folders (as agreed with
solvecraft-shell).

ASSEMBLE panel (SOLID, SHEET METAL, PLASTIC): New Component, Joint, As-built Joint, Joint Origin,
Rigid Group, Drive Joints, Motion Link, Interference. Joint origins are picked by hovering:
faces snap to their centre (round faces to the centre of the nearer end), edges to their middle
(round edges to their centre), vertices to themselves, shown as glyphs with their z axis. The
Joint dialog has the motion type, angle, offsets X/Y/Z, flip, per-value limits and Animate (the
preview plays the motion); joints and drives preview on the placed model (world states).
Drive Joints moves live with a slider. Interference lists the overlaps and shows them red.
Joints appear in the timeline and in a Browser Joints folder (edit, drive, suppress, delete).
SHEET METAL tab in Fusion's layout: Flange (base, edge or contour, from the picks; height arrow
on the canvas), Hem, Unfold, Refold, Convert to Sheet Metal, Sheet Metal Rules (rule manager),
Create Flat Pattern (flat view with up/down bend lines, bend table, DXF export).
PLASTIC tab with SETUP: Boss, Lip/Groove, Snap Fit, Rest, Manage and Assign Plastic Rules; Rib,
Web and the shared solid commands on the tab.
Every feature dialog has live preview, Edit Feature and pre-selection; icons drawn in code.
Toolbar layout per tab in workspace.rs; tests for the dialog to command mapping.
