lillith 874315db8e fix(sketch): apply Project to complete preselection 2026-10-12 10:05:52 -04:00
bherbruck 07932d0f42 feat: preserve modeling intent across sketches, assemblies, and fabrication
Persist typed sketch dimensions and bounded ordered configuration rules in format 8. Use exact occurrence paths and source identity for editing, movement, appearance, and mass. Preserve sheet material regions through cutting, folding, and exact DXF export; retain nested cavities and material islands.

Validation: cargo xtask ci passed, including 368 engine tests, 178 UI tests, 68 UI scenarios, 136 kernel tests, and the 10-crate wasm check. Actual preview workflows and legacy format-7 origin-corner reopening were inspected.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 68271137a5 Split Face (FusionSplitFaceCommand): a timeline feature dividing the picked faces where a plane, another body's face (its surface extended) or a sketch's curves meet them, through kernel::split_faces; the solid is unchanged and the pieces take the face's name with #k. Rebase fixes: duplicate Chamfer and Combine specs; the Delete selection's face test expects Delete Face's refusal

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 3db6119cc6 Delete Face (face.delete, and faces in the Delete selection): a timeline feature that removes faces and heals the gap from the neighbouring planes through kernel::delete_faces; a picked face brings the rest of its surface (both halves of a hole's wall); face picks are stored by persistent name; a face its neighbours can't close is refused with the kernel's reason

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d10312b7fd Command ids are SolveCraft's own: 173 ids that were another product's internal command ids become dotted, lower-case ids (<area>.<thing>[.<variant>]: solid.extrude, sketch.rectangle.two_point, sheet.flange, joint.drive, ...), in the registry, toolbar, dialogs, shortcuts, palette, control channel, MCP, examples, scenarios and docs
The old ids live only in crates/engine/src/legacy_ids.rs (the legacy migration table): find_command maps them, so old scripts, recipes and control calls keep working, and saved shortcuts, recent and pinned commands are migrated on load (designs store no command ids). Parity maps the observed catalog ids to ours through xtask/data/fusion-ids.tsv. The agent rule now reads: our own dotted id, never another product's. Cargo.toml's repository points at github.com/bherbruck/solvecraft.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d2068e07a3 Selection inside sketches: double-click a curve selects the chain joined to it end to end (sketch.chain; shared or coincident ends), dimensions and constraint glyphs are selectable like other entities (Sel::SketchConstraint: Ctrl/Shift toggle, window and crossing boxes take them, Delete removes them with the rest), boxes leave out the origin, and the selection filter has sketch curves, points, dimensions and constraints

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 a7f301bde6 Delete for everything: selection.delete removes sketch entities, features and sketches (with their dependents), construction planes, bodies (Remove feature), occurrences and components, and canvases in one undo step, with a dry run; Delete/Backspace and every menu's Delete go through it and ask first, listing what goes with it and what would fail; faces say Delete Face is not available yet; ui.confirm control method
