bherbruck c1d819f235 feat: preserve body history and placed modelling workflows
Record ownership transfers in the timeline so earlier Join/Cut membership,
world placement, machining data and styles survive component moves, edits,
independent copying, undo and reopening. Preserve pending positions in history
snapshots and keep constructor transfers ordered during feature redefinition.

Retain shallow sheet pockets and exact planar intersection islands through
unfold/refold, with depth-aware flat previews and DXF export. Store explicit
3D wire coordinate spaces and migrate known legacy provenance without moving
saved points or analytic fits.

Infer unique eligible cylindrical Emboss targets, align Revolve manipulators
with actual extent geometry, and discard obsolete preview errors after input
correction. Certify constructed and immutable imported face styles using exact
source metadata while preserving legacy face names. Upgrade designs to format10
with bounded validation and geometry-preserving legacy migration.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 ce61aef4a6 Dialog labels show in full: the label column grows to its longest label (up to 150 px, then wraps) instead of cutting labels off. Feature previews that remove material (Hole, pockets) show the cut's new faces through the body in the cut colour, so the hole is seen from any side

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d10312b7fd Command ids are SolveCraft's own: 173 ids that were another product's internal command ids become dotted, lower-case ids (<area>.<thing>[.<variant>]: solid.extrude, sketch.rectangle.two_point, sheet.flange, joint.drive, ...), in the registry, toolbar, dialogs, shortcuts, palette, control channel, MCP, examples, scenarios and docs
The old ids live only in crates/engine/src/legacy_ids.rs (the legacy migration table): find_command maps them, so old scripts, recipes and control calls keep working, and saved shortcuts, recent and pinned commands are migrated on load (designs store no command ids). Parity maps the observed catalog ids to ours through xtask/data/fusion-ids.tsv. The agent rule now reads: our own dotted id, never another product's. Cargo.toml's repository points at github.com/bherbruck/solvecraft.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 66fa6fe584 Dialogs for joints, sheet metal and plastic
ASSEMBLE panel (SOLID, SHEET METAL, PLASTIC): New Component, Joint, As-built Joint, Joint Origin,
Rigid Group, Drive Joints, Motion Link, Interference. Joint origins are picked by hovering:
faces snap to their centre (round faces to the centre of the nearer end), edges to their middle
(round edges to their centre), vertices to themselves, shown as glyphs with their z axis. The
Joint dialog has the motion type, angle, offsets X/Y/Z, flip, per-value limits and Animate (the
preview plays the motion); joints and drives preview on the placed model (world states).
Drive Joints moves live with a slider. Interference lists the overlaps and shows them red.
Joints appear in the timeline and in a Browser Joints folder (edit, drive, suppress, delete).

SHEET METAL tab in Fusion's layout: Flange (base, edge or contour, from the picks; height arrow
on the canvas), Hem, Unfold, Refold, Convert to Sheet Metal, Sheet Metal Rules (rule manager),
Create Flat Pattern (flat view with up/down bend lines, bend table, DXF export).

PLASTIC tab with SETUP: Boss, Lip/Groove, Snap Fit, Rest, Manage and Assign Plastic Rules; Rib,
Web and the shared solid commands on the tab.

Every feature dialog has live preview, Edit Feature and pre-selection; icons drawn in code.
Toolbar layout per tab in workspace.rs; tests for the dialog to command mapping.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d729918034 Change Parameters dialog (params_dialog.rs): favourites, user parameters (unit, expression, value, comment; add, rename, delete) and model parameters grouped by sketch or feature, live validation and preview while typing, CSV/JSON import and export; parameter-name autocomplete (Tab) in every expression box: dialogs, inline sketch dimensions, manipulator values

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 a1accbf46e Extrude: Two sides direction with a second draggable arrow, taper angle field; ground grid drawn under the model (bodies below the grid plane are no longer hidden by it); preview extent included in the view depth range

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 7ef3426cb3 Keyboard-first commands: E/F/H open with the on-canvas value box focused as soon as the geometry is picked (typing replaces the value, Enter applies, Tab moves on, Esc cancels), extrude direction arrow; Extrude takes planar body faces (face: [x,y,z] copies the face boundary into a sketch), so select-face-then-E press-pulls; join/cut previews show the tool body (cut see-through red)

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d44083d1cc Live operation previews: open feature dialogs (new or Edit Feature) evaluate on a scratch session off the UI thread (Session::preview, no document or undo changes) and draw the result in place: new surface tinted, removed material as a translucent ghost; errors show in the dialog and keep the last good preview; a failing join/cut still shows its tool body
