bherbruck c1d819f235 feat: preserve body history and placed modelling workflows
Record ownership transfers in the timeline so earlier Join/Cut membership,
world placement, machining data and styles survive component moves, edits,
independent copying, undo and reopening. Preserve pending positions in history
snapshots and keep constructor transfers ordered during feature redefinition.

Retain shallow sheet pockets and exact planar intersection islands through
unfold/refold, with depth-aware flat previews and DXF export. Store explicit
3D wire coordinate spaces and migrate known legacy provenance without moving
saved points or analytic fits.

Infer unique eligible cylindrical Emboss targets, align Revolve manipulators
with actual extent geometry, and discard obsolete preview errors after input
correction. Certify constructed and immutable imported face styles using exact
source metadata while preserving legacy face names. Upgrade designs to format10
with bounded validation and geometry-preserving legacy migration.

bherbruck 07932d0f42 feat: preserve modeling intent across sketches, assemblies, and fabrication
Persist typed sketch dimensions and bounded ordered configuration rules in format 8. Use exact occurrence paths and source identity for editing, movement, appearance, and mass. Preserve sheet material regions through cutting, folding, and exact DXF export; retain nested cavities and material islands.

Validation: cargo xtask ci passed, including 368 engine tests, 178 UI tests, 68 UI scenarios, 136 kernel tests, and the 10-crate wasm check. Actual preview workflows and legacy format-7 origin-corner reopening were inspected.

bherbruck d71bdb78ec feat: strengthen modeling, configuration, and assembly workflows
Preserve linked sketch identities through deterministic face projection and resizing. Fix origin-corner picking, persistent inline navigation, appearance editing, configuration styles, component properties, contact sweeps, sheet exports, analytic STEP offsets, and bounded rolling-ball fit accuracy.

Validated with full cargo xtask ci, native workflow screenshots, repeated enclosure replays, and analytic geometry regressions.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d10312b7fd Command ids are SolveCraft's own: 173 ids that were another product's internal command ids become dotted, lower-case ids (<area>.<thing>[.<variant>]: solid.extrude, sketch.rectangle.two_point, sheet.flange, joint.drive, ...), in the registry, toolbar, dialogs, shortcuts, palette, control channel, MCP, examples, scenarios and docs
The old ids live only in crates/engine/src/legacy_ids.rs (the legacy migration table): find_command maps them, so old scripts, recipes and control calls keep working, and saved shortcuts, recent and pinned commands are migrated on load (designs store no command ids). Parity maps the observed catalog ids to ours through xtask/data/fusion-ids.tsv. The agent rule now reads: our own dotted id, never another product's. Cargo.toml's repository points at github.com/bherbruck/solvecraft.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 b2d0452656 Fold: with no fixed side the larger side stays, whichever side of the line it is on (the side areas were measured from the wrong point for one side; QA s22)

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 05b38e0f5f Persistent naming for sheet metal: base panel edges are named after the base sketch line they lie on, flange edges after their flange (F<feature>.<k>) and side (far / side0 / side1, top or bottom face); flanges and hems store edge names and pick by name first (a name that is gone keeps the point with a warning)

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 5b9749aad6 Fold on flange panels (the side toward the flange's own bend stays; flanges and folds on the moving part ride along) and through cut-outs whose edges run along or across the bend; slanted or curved edges across a bend still say not supported (they would need helical edges)

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 9f8915996d Sheet metal Fold (SheetMetalFoldCmd): fold the base panel along a sketch line (followed when the sketch changes) or two points on its face; angle, bend radius and K-factor from the rule; the bend zone (BA = θ(R + K·T)) comes out of the existing sheet so the flat pattern keeps its size; the line at the bend's centre, start, end or on the mould line; the side holding a picked point stays (default the larger), flip folds down; flanges on the moving part ride along

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 e5560e8035 Sheet metal: rules as expressions (Thickness, K-factor, bend radius, reliefs, gaps; may use parameters), sheet bodies kept as flat patterns and sewn folded from exact faces (new kernel::sew), Flange (base, edge with height to the outer face, angle, inside/outside/middle, several edges at once with corners closed to the rule gap, contour from an open chain), Hem, Unfold/Refold with cut-outs that follow the bends, Convert to Sheet Metal, flat pattern with bend lines and bend table, DXF export; recipes: sm_flange, sm_hem, unfold/refold, rule edits (oracle 67-76 all pass)
