N3MI-DGandClaude Opus 5.5 f30b30be6e A left press on the view cube held and dragged orbits the view: the press is not a click until it moves or is held past one, then the pointer grabs and the view orbits about its centre as the other orbits do (the move it took to tell a drag from a click turns the view too). A press that doesn't move is still a click on the face, edge or corner. While the cube is dragged its hover highlight is off, the release is not a click, and the navigation bar's orbit or pan tool doesn't also act on the drag. A press on a floating window over the cube is the window's and starts no orbit, as with the cube's hover. Tests: the s39 scenario drags 48 px right from FRONT and the view turns 22° without clicking the face

N3MI-DGandClaude Opus 5.5 c28e780f52 View cube TOP and BOTTOM turn the view as little as they can: a click kept forcing heading 0 (front edge at the bottom), so from the back-right iso view TOP spun the model round by 135°. The heading now goes to the nearest quarter turn; halfway between two (an iso view such as home) it takes the one nearer the standard plan view, so home → TOP still has the front at the bottom. The side faces are unchanged (the camera has no roll, so each has one upright view). Tests: nearest_quarter_turn for headings on, near and halfway between quarter turns, and the s39 scenario clicks TOP from the right side and keeps the right side at the bottom

N3MI-DGandClaude Opus 5.5 2fb3dcae6b View cube edges are targets: hovering an edge lights a band along it on both faces it joins, and a click turns the view halfway between those faces (top-front looks down at 45°, front-right along the diagonal). The cube now has 26 targets (6 faces, 12 edges, 8 corner facets); its drawing is unchanged. Looking straight at a face, the four edges around it are bands along its border. Tests: every target's patches are hit where drawn, the patches cover the drawn cube from any direction, edges pick from an iso view and face-on, and the s39 scenario hovers and clicks edges

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 0a1ab40ea0 View cube with chamfered corners: its only targets are the 6 faces (orthographic views) and the 8 corner facets (iso views); edges are not targets, a point on one goes to a neighbouring face or facet, and hover lights exactly the face or facet under the pointer. Design decision.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 0d7e456bc1 Documentation site and CI workflows
An mdBook under docs/book: a user guide (getting started, UI tour, sketching, features,
parameters, components and joints, sheet metal, plastic, files, shortcuts, MCP) and a developer
guide (CONTRIBUTING, architecture, command engine, kernel boundary, persistent naming, test
harnesses, and the existing docs/*.md pages). `cargo xtask book` generates the command reference
from `solvecraft-cli commands` and renders the screenshots with `solvecraft-cli snapshot`, then
runs mdbook. .github/workflows/pages.yml publishes the book at /solvecraft/ and the web app at
/solvecraft/app/ (skipped while the repository is private). .github/workflows/ci.yml runs
`cargo xtask ci` on pull requests. README and Help → Documentation link to the book.
