Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 5.5 7e0866e647 fix(input): fire a rebound SPACE only from the command line
#1713 dispatched a captured SPACE as a shortcut whenever it was rebound,
so with SPACE on FINALIZE a space typed into any other text field (layer
names, Properties, find) also ran FINALIZE, and the space it typed stayed
in the command line. Ask whether the command input has focus before
running the binding, and drop the space the field already inserted.

Claude 2fca3fd18d Merge main into Pallet-placement
Resolved conflicts:
- app/update/mod.rs: keep the dock's dock_open_at_default for the XREF
manager; take main's stable xref row identity (row_index(&id)).
- app/view/mod.rs: keep the edge layout from app::dock; drop main's copy
of the old edge-stack code (main only reformatted it there).
- ui/window/layers.rs: keep main's new visible_indices next to the
  branch's view_panel.
Files the branch only reformatted take main's version. Adds the Lao
(lo-LA) translations for the new dock texts.

theluckystrike cbefecb120 fix(input): let a rebound SPACE fire while the command line has focus
A focused text field reports Status::Captured, so the key dispatch
dropped SPACE and a CUI rebind of SPACE to FINALIZE never ran while the
command line held focus (#1710). Dispatch a captured SPACE as a shortcut
only when SPACE is bound to something other than COMMANDSPACE, so the
default binding still types a space. The closure stays a plain fn, so a
static flag mirrors the binding and is refreshed wherever the bindings
change.

Karim Jerbi 8dca7fbaed refactor(ribbon): single dock predicate, drop dead layer_names mirror
The edge-stack closure duplicated dock_panel_visible arm-for-arm; it now delegates (tab is provably the active tab at that site). Ribbon.layer_names was written but never read outside one test; deleted, test reads via layer_infos. Faces and combo-refresh sub-items investigated and dropped (already unified upstream; no live stale path). Tests: dock visibility parity pins incl. Start-tab. Full suite: 2046 passed / 0 failed / 25 ignored, zero warnings.

Claude 7448472291 Dock: move app-side dock code into app::dock, trim tests, drop icon tooltip
- The dock's state handling and drawing move out of update/dialog.rs and
  view/mod.rs into src/app/dock/ (update.rs, view.rs, tests.rs). The
overlay view_main stacked over the workspace (floating pallets, + menu,
drag preview, pointer capture) becomes one `dock_overlay` call. Code is
  moved, not changed.
- Strip icons no longer show the pallet name on hover.
- Tests trimmed where they overlapped: the top / bottom half drops are
one test, the two hover tests are one, and the in-group icon reorder,
raise-float, empty floating title bar and slot-span tests are dropped
(each is covered by another test).

Claude 4db24b3bbd Dock: simplify drag, peek, width and open/close state
No intended behaviour change except the fixes noted below.

- One drag state: a single `DockDrag` (move pallet / group, width,
splitter, floating size, Layer Manager column) replaces nine fields
(dragging, dragging group, resizing, split, float resizing, origin,
target, grab offset, layer column flag) that had to be kept in sync.
- `dock_expanded` becomes `dock_peek` with one meaning: a pallet revealed
  although it auto-hides. `dock_reveal(id)` shows a pallet's group and
peeks it; commands that open a pallet now use it, so opening a pallet
also switches its edge to that pallet's group.
- Each group stores its own width (falling back to its widest pallet's
width until first sized), instead of every pallet's width being kept in
sync. Pallet widths now only size floating pallets and new groups.
- One `dock_set_open(id, open)` holds every pallet's open and close path.
- Leftovers removed: the tab-group config format that never reached main,
the multi-tab drag ghost header, the separate icon-hover message.

Fixes:
- Hovering a strip icon reveals an auto-hiding edge again (the icons had
lost the hover message in the option B strip). Covered by a test that
moves the pointer over the icon in the real view.

Claude 6c00b8bc91 Dock: fix double-click on title bars, centre the strip bar, close + menu
- Double-clicking a docked or floating title bar did nothing. iced keeps
a widget's state (including the first click of a double-click) only
while the widget tree keeps its shape, and pressing a title bar starts
a possible drag that wrapped the workspace in an extra pointer-capture
layer, rebuilding the title bar and forgetting the first click. The
workspace is now always inside the same stack and mouse area; the
capture handlers are only attached while dragging. A test drives the
real view through iced's UserInterface (keeping its cache between
events, as the runtime does) and fails without this fix.
- The shown group's edge bar was shorter than its row (the tooltip
around the edge band sized it to its content), so it looked off
centre. Band and bar now have explicit heights.
- Picking a pallet in the + menu closes the menu.

Claude 96b4479f58 Dock: option B icon strip with an edge-band group grip
The icon strip follows the agreed "option B" concept:

- Flat 40 px strip; groups are rows of their pallets' icons separated by
hairline dividers, with no grip lines. The + button is a small round
  button under the last group.
- The shown group is marked by a blue bar on its window-side edge and
brighter icons. That 8 px edge band is the group grip: hovering it
widens and lights the bar, tints the row, shows a grab cursor and a
"Drag to move group" tooltip; dragging it moves the whole group.
- Icons still drag single pallets: within their group or into another
group (between its icons), or onto a divider to start a new group.
Hovering an icon gives it a soft background and shows its name.
- Drop feedback: a short accent line with end caps between icons means
"join this group here" (the target group's bar lights up); a
full-width line on a divider with a "+ New group" badge means "new
group here". The dragged icon (or whole group) fades in place and a
  ghost follows the pointer.
- The zone around a divider (a few px into the icons on either side)
starts a new group; the lower half of a group's last icon still joins
  that group at the end.

Claude 258762f992 Dock: auto-hide per edge, hover only flies out when auto-hiding, menu per edge
- Auto-hide is a setting of the left / right edge rather than of each
pallet: the pin on any docked pallet turns it on for its whole edge,
which then shows only its icon strip until an icon is hovered. A
floating pallet keeps its own auto-hide.
- Hovering the strip icons only shows a group while the edge auto-hides;
  otherwise groups switch on click.
- The + menu checks only the pallets open on that edge. Picking one that
  is open elsewhere (the other edge, floating) moves it to this edge;
unchecking a checked one hides it.

Claude 47c2e2f2fe Dock: one group per edge at a time, pallets stacked within a group
A group is now a set of pallets shown together, stacked top to bottom,
and an edge shows one group at a time. The icon strip lists every group
(grip bar over its pallets' icons, the shown group on a grey
background); clicking any icon of a group shows that whole group.

- Dropping a pallet on the top / bottom half of a pallet in the shown
group stacks it above / below; dropping on the strip's icons places it
in that group at that spot, and on a grip or below the last group
starts a new group (which is then shown).
- Splitters set the heights of the pallets within a group; double-click
  makes them equal again.
- Each group keeps its own width; the divider sizes only the group it
belongs to, and switching groups switches width.
- A group whose pallets all auto-hide shows only while hovered.
- Layouts saved by older builds load with their stacked pallets as one
  group.

Claude f038fcc9a1 Dock: Photoshop-style vertical icon strip for docked groups
Each dock edge now has a vertical icon strip along the window edge in
place of the horizontal tab row and the auto-hide rail.

- Every shown group gets a grip bar with its pallets' icons below it;
the shown pallet's icon has a grey background. Clicking an icon shows
that pallet in its group; hovering the icons of an auto-hiding group
  opens it.
- Dragging an icon within the strip reorders it or moves it into
another group; dropping it on a grip or below the last group makes it
a new group there. On the pallet area, the top / bottom bands still
start a new group above / below and the middle joins the group.
- Dragging a grip moves the whole group to another position or edge.
- A + button under the groups opens the pallet menu (icon, name, check
mark). Opening a pallet from it docks it on that edge as a new group,
or in its existing group there; a checked pallet is hidden.
- Groups keep their width when moved; the divider against the viewport
  sizes the whole edge column.

Claude 1176789125 Dock: tab row only for tab groups, larger plain icon tabs, working menu
- The tab row shows only when at least two pallets share a slot.
- Tab icons are larger (18 px). The shown tab gets the grey background
without a border; other tabs have no background.
- The pallet menu was drawn by a dropdown that squeezed it to one icon
wide. It is now its own overlay hanging under the menu button, laid
out like the right-click menu: pallet icon, name, and a check mark on
the right for the pallets shown in this slot. Any click outside closes
  it.

Claude 09e4792a0a Dock: Layer Manager pallet, double-click to float / dock
- LAYERS opens the Layer Manager as a dockable pallet instead of a modal
dialog with a darkened backdrop. It floats over the middle of the
drawing the first time and keeps its place after that; LAYERS again
(or its close button) hides it. The table keeps its natural width and
scrolls sideways when the pallet is narrower, and the Name column
divider now drags through the dock's pointer capture. Ctrl+A selects
all layers while a layer row is selected in the open pallet.
- The Layer Manager is listed in the tab-row pallet menu like the others.
- Double-clicking a docked title bar floats the panel beside its edge;
double-clicking a floating title bar docks the panel on the side its
  title bar faces.

Claude 1f3fae6d1e Dock: icon tabs with a pallet menu, wider stacking zones
- Dropping on a docked pallet now stacks it above or below over the top
and bottom 35 % of the slot; only the middle 30 % makes it a tab.
- Tabs show the pallet icon (title as tooltip), aligned to the left.
Every docked slot has the tab row, so its menu is always reachable.
- A menu button at the right of the tab row lists every pallet with a
check mark for those shown in this slot. Checking one opens it as a
tab here (moving it from wherever it was docked); unchecking hides it
and keeps its tab for next time.

Claude 2b2581eb46 Dock: reorder tabs by dragging, one width per tab group, plain rail hover
- Dragging a tab along its slot's tab strip moves it to the gap under the
pointer; the drop preview shows the new tab order. A panel dragged from
elsewhere onto a tab strip lands at that position too. A drop in the
middle of the slot still appends a newcomer and leaves a member where
  it is.
- All tabs of a slot share one width: a joining panel takes the slot's
width, resizing or resetting one tab sizes them all, and slots sized
apart by older configs render at their widest tab. Switching tabs no
  longer changes the column width.
- Hovering an auto-hide rail raises its slot without turning the rail
  blue.

Claude 1de5597216 Dock: hover-only title buttons, tilted pin, mirrored float grip
- Docked title bars show the pin and close only while the pointer is
over the bar; the bar keeps a fixed height so nothing jumps.
- Auto-hide on is drawn as a 30° tilted pin (new pin_active.svg)
instead of a coloured button background, on docked and floating bars.
- A floating panel's resize grip sits in the bottom corner away from its
title bar. With the bar on the right it is bottom-left (new mirrored
resize_left.svg) and resizing from there keeps the right edge fixed.
The bar stays on its side while resizing.
- While a floating panel is dragged, only the drop preview shows it; the
panel no longer stays drawn at its old place.

Claude 03763ff197 Dock: flush title bars and a vertical title bar for floating panels
Every docked panel now shows its title bar flush along the top, like the
Properties panel: dock::frame takes the title bar separately and pads
only the content below it.

A floating panel drops its horizontal title bar for a vertical one on
the side facing the nearer workspace edge. Close and the auto-hide pin
sit at the top; the panel's icon sits at the bottom with the title
reading upward above it. The free part of the bar drags the panel. With
auto-hide on, a floating panel shrinks to its title bar until hovered.

Panel views take a dock::Chrome (auto-collapse plus floating) in place
of the bare auto-collapse flag, so the shared title bar knows when to
step aside.

Claude 76883695c3 Dock: floating panels, tab groups and adjustable slot heights
Panels can now float over the workspace, share a docked slot as tabs,
and split an edge at heights the user picks.

- Dropping a panel away from the edges floats it at the pointer. Floating
panels move by their title bar, resize from a corner grip, and come to
  the front when clicked.
- Dropping in the top or bottom quarter of a docked slot docks the panel
above or below it, as before. Dropping in the middle adds the panel as
a tab of that slot. Pressing a tab shows that panel; dragging a tab
  pulls the panel out again.
- While dragging, a blue ghost previews the result: the new slot, the
slot with its future tab row, or the floating window.
- A splitter between stacked slots sets their heights; double-click it
to make the slots equal again. Heights persist.
- A press only becomes a drag after 5 px of movement, so clicking a title
bar or tab never moves the panel.

The persisted layout now stores each edge as tab groups with a height
weight, plus a list of floating panels. Configs with the old
bare-panel-id stacks still load as single-panel slots.

Idle and object selection drew the same cursor, crosshair arms with the

and the pickbox stays: idle keeps arms and box, point input arms and dot.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 5.5 1d78ab2574 fix(count): invalid-area restore, honest UPDATEFIELD, i18n and SVG icons
- Invalid Area "Undo" reverts the step that lost the boundary (redo after
an undo, undo otherwise), checks the boundary is back and otherwise puts
the step back and continues without the area; no auto-undo loop.
- COUNTCLOSE / area replacement remove the count polyline outside the
history instead of as an undo step of their own.
- UPDATEFIELD re-evaluates the field texts of a table's *T block and
  reports the number actually updated.
- Zoom to a counted object goes through the f64 handle_zoom_to_window.
- Palette: SVG icons instead of glyph text, list cache keyed by tab id,
cached result borrowed instead of cloned, "Count" as the source text.
- Command-line messages go through t!/tf! with entries in all locales.
- Cleanups: \n escapes, area comment, unused parameter, comment order.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 5.5 76f4bb97dc fix(sheetset): wasm build, lock files and sheet set field refresh
- `.dst` read/write go through native-only helpers (a browser answers
"Not available"); the folder pickers are web no-ops; time stamps use
  iced::time (web-safe).
- Lock files are written only for drawings that are sheets of an open set,
released when the last set closes, and a lock a crashed session left
(recorded with its process id, same user and machine) is taken back.
The `.dwl2` header is well-formed and the date line comes from the OS
long date on every platform. The 1 Hz poll runs only while a set is open.
- Refreshing sheet set fields never stores `####`: fields no open set
resolves keep their value, and only the hosts that changed are redrawn
  (and their tab marked modified).

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 582e0980d9 Sheet set row menus: own fly-out menu widget
The row menu is a small overlay widget: a click on a submenu entry opens
its fly-out instead of closing the menu, and the fly-out is placed beside
the menu where it actually landed (right when it fits, otherwise left), so
the menu never moves.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 a3c79be278 Sheet sets: fly-out submenus, block previews, window-aspect named views
- Row menus open Set category / Place Callout Block as fly-out submenus
(hover or right press; leftwards when the palette is docked right).
- List of Blocks and Select Block show the Blocks palette's preview.
- VIEW SAVE keeps the window's width/height ratio.
- Placing view content in model space is refused with the reference message.
- Drawings read for views, placement and blocks are cached by modification time.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 5c9f19a4dc Sheet sets: import statuses, view navigation fields, drawing lock files
Import Layouts as Sheets shows the reference's statuses (already part of
a sheet set / may belong to another sheet set / available) and Browse
replaces the list; the Field dialog SheetView tree lists sheet views with
their properties, scale formats and hyperlinks; drawings open in tabs get
.dwl/.dwl2 lock files that other instances read as open; the codec pin
moves to the revision with sheet views and the default output folder.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 0a26709d13 Count: measured messages and listing, groups, Current area, boundary checks, fills and solids recoloured
- COUNTCOLOR / COUNTERRORCOLOR / COUNTSERVICE reject any other value with
the range message; COUNTTABLE ? lists in the reference order, padded,
22 lines a page with Press ENTER to continue:, then the totals.
- Target picks report N found / N found, M total; several objects (or one
that is not a block reference) count their copies, shown as Geometries
  in the palette.
- Current area is the area in use (kept aside by Entire model space),
otherwise all of model space; an invalid Object boundary ends with the
  reference message.
- Count colours reach solids and fills; the palette list and the count
are recomputed only when the drawing changes.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 612bb26a8c Sheet sets: reference menu order, new sheets stay closed, .dst reload, navigation fields
The tree menus follow the reference per row kind (New Sheet / Import on a
sheet work on its subset, Remove Subset only while empty, Rename Subset),
a new sheet is not opened, an open set reloads when its .dst changes on
disk, ViewportScale placeholders take the version of their format and
the codec pin moves to the revision with navigation fields.

PanosandClaude Opus 5 d596b5a6be fix(view): zoom cursor per navigation tool, and ZOOM EXTENTS frames everything
Two viewport-navigation defects, both measured against commercial solutions.

The cursor stayed a hand during a zoom. `selection_overlay` took one boolean
for all three interactive navigation tools, so ZOOM Dynamic and ORBIT both
showed PAN's grab hand — which reads as "drag the sheet", the wrong promise
for either. Split it into a `NavCursor` enum: PAN keeps the open/closed hand,
ORBIT gets four-way arrows, and ZOOM Dynamic gets the magnifier carrying the
sign of the zoom actually under way — "+" dragging up, "-" dragging down,
latched with a 2 px dead zone so a hand held still cannot strobe the glyph.
ZOOM Dynamic also reused `box_anchor` to remember where a drag began, so a
selection marquee rubber-banded across the screen while the view zoomed; the
drawing is now suppressed, the state left alone for `reproject_box_anchor`.

ZOOM EXTENTS did not reach the whole drawing, for three separate reasons, now
answered by one shared `Scene::visible_block_bounds`:

  - A quartile filter dropped any wire whose centroid sat outside the
inter-quartile consensus of the others. It was meant to stop one junk wire
from a bad parse poisoning the box, but it could not tell parser junk from
an outlying detail, a survey point, or a block placed away from the rest,
and silently refused to frame them. Gone; the absolute 1e16 sentinel gate
the paper path already used is the only filter, and the XLine / Ray display
segments that motivated the heuristic are handled explicitly.

  - HATCH tessellates to no wires at all, and the model path never read the
fill models, so a drawing whose outermost geometry is a fill — or which is
nothing but fills — had nothing to frame. It now folds them in, reusing the
renderer's own warm cache on the hot path rather than re-exploding every
    INSERT per ZOOM EXTENTS.

  - Inside a floating viewport the fit came from `compute_model_space_extents`,
which walked only `key_vertices` — empty for every tessellated curve.
Circles, arcs, ellipses and splines contributed nothing. Fixing it also
corrects plot Extents, sheet-set framing, viewport auto-fit and SpaceMouse
model bounds, which all inherited that blind spot.

Bounds stay f64 into the camera: a UTM drawing lost whole metres to the old
f32 round-trip. Drawing extents also no longer read the camera — the result is
cached per geometry epoch, and a floating viewport's camera is derived FROM
the extents, so `camera_for_viewport` recursed into a stack overflow.

`model_space_extents_mixed_entities_accuracy` asserted the curve-blind result;
it now asserts the true bounds.

Karim Jerbi b19253374c fix(start): saturate the recent-limit plus step
Bug:
The keep-recent-files footer on the Start page builds its [-] [count]
[+] buttons eagerly while constructing the widget, and the [+] step was
written as plain shown + STEP while the [-] button next to it already
used saturating_sub. shown comes from the input box, whose handler
keeps every ASCII digit with no length cap - so typing
18446744073709551615 (2^64-1) parses to usize::MAX and the addition
overflowed during view(), before the button was ever clicked. Debug
builds panic with "attempt to add with overflow"; release builds (no
overflow checks) wrap to a small number and request a nonsense limit.
The clamp in set_recent_limit runs only after the value is computed.

Reproduce:
1. Start page -> "keep recent files" box -> type
   18446744073709551615.
2. Before: the next frame panics at widget construction (on render, no
click needed); release builds wrap the step silently.
3. After: no panic; pressing Enter or [+] applies the clamped limit and
   the box resyncs to it.

Fix:
Mirror the [-] button: shown.saturating_add(STEP). At usize::MAX the
message carries usize::MAX, which the handler's existing
clamp-and-resync treats exactly like any other over-max entry, so both
step buttons are now saturating and the release-build wrap is closed as
well. on_submit has no arithmetic and needs no change. The regression
test calls start_page_content directly with the hostile string - it
fails at the same line instead of requiring a GUI session.

Karim Jerbi 2d6f4fcfdf fix(tabs): close by stable document id instead of vector index
Bug:
Message::TabClose carried a vector index captured when the view message
was built. Closing several tabs in one batch (Close All / Close Others
with unsaved-changes dialogs, or a queue of continuation updates) let an
earlier close shift the vector before a later TabClose(idx) was handled:
self.tabs.remove(idx) either panicked (index past the end) or closed a
different tab than the one the user confirmed.

Reproduce:
1. Open several drawings and modify each so they all prompt on close.
2. Use Close All, or close two tabs in quick succession so both messages
   are handled in one batch.
3. Before: panic in remove(idx), or the wrong tab closes while the tab
the user chose stays open (or its work is lost).
4. After: the chosen tab closes; an id already closed by an earlier
   message is a no-op.

Fix:
TabClose now carries the tab's stable u64 id, resolved to a vector
position when the message is handled, not when it is built;
PendingClose::Tab stores ids the same way. All construction sites pass
tab.id (a raw usize index no longer type-checks), and
DocTabCloseAll/DocTabCloseOthers build their queues from live ids at
handling time. A missing id means the tab is already gone, so the
handler returns Task::none().
