bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d40ef5bbdc 3D sketch: with 3D Sketch on, the Line, Spline and Point tools take points off the sketch plane, snapping to model vertices, edges and faces and to drawn 3D points (segments that stay on the plane are ordinary sketch lines); drawn 3D curves are wires with fit points (sketch.line3d, sketch.spline3d: centripetal Catmull-Rom, sketch.point3d), a clicked 3D point gets a move triad (drag along X/Y/Z or parallel to the sketch plane: sketch.move3d, joined ends move together), Delete removes it; sweep and pipe paths may mix 3D curves with sketch curves; control: ui.triad, ui.worldToScreen

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 d2068e07a3 Selection inside sketches: double-click a curve selects the chain joined to it end to end (sketch.chain; shared or coincident ends), dimensions and constraint glyphs are selectable like other entities (Sel::SketchConstraint: Ctrl/Shift toggle, window and crossing boxes take them, Delete removes them with the rest), boxes leave out the origin, and the selection filter has sketch curves, points, dimensions and constraints

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 ae4570ed39 Colours in exports from materials and appearances; Appearance command
- Bodies export (STEP, 3MF) in the colour they are shown in: an appearance,
else the physical material's look, else the colour the body was imported
with (Document::body_color / painted). Physical materials used to export
  no colour at all.
- AppearanceCommand (Modify): a colour per body ("#rrggbb" or [r, g, b];
null follows the material again), kept in the design and across renames.
- Material looks move to solvecraft-doc (material_color); the viewport draws
appearance, material or imported colour, as exported.
- Engine test: brass and red ABS bodies export, re-import with their RGB, and
keep it through open and export again.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 f6b42f8750 Sketch drag feel like Fusion (sketch.drag): the grabbed point goes exactly to the cursor, a line (spline, conic) slides with it, a circle or arc grabbed on its edge changes radius about its centre (an ellipse its minor radius), the centre moves the circle; the grabbed geometry is held while the rest moves as little as it can; fixed and fully constrained geometry stays. Dragging a curve of the sketch being edited now drags it (it used to start a box selection). Tests for per-entity fully-constrained feedback

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 2ec34c6e78 Sketches on body faces follow their face: the plane is a face reference found again on each evaluation (same normal, nearest the picked point), and face extrudes (Extrude on a face, Press Pull) use the linked projection of the face's edges instead of a frozen copy, so they follow when earlier features change

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 2db9e66048 STEP orientation check: judge only revolution faces, no drifting parameter hint
Free-form strips (a curved-edge fillet's B-spline bands round a saddle) vary
their normal too much along the loop for the loop-direction test, and the
hinted nearest-parameter search drifted on them: false 'runs clockwise'
reports on faces that round-trip exactly. The check now covers cylinders,
cones, spheres and tori (closed surfaces, where a loop read the wrong way
silently gives the rest of the surface); volume checks cover the rest. It
still flags all 8 sphere corners of a fillet box with their sense flipped.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 66fa6fe584 Dialogs for joints, sheet metal and plastic
ASSEMBLE panel (SOLID, SHEET METAL, PLASTIC): New Component, Joint, As-built Joint, Joint Origin,
Rigid Group, Drive Joints, Motion Link, Interference. Joint origins are picked by hovering:
faces snap to their centre (round faces to the centre of the nearer end), edges to their middle
(round edges to their centre), vertices to themselves, shown as glyphs with their z axis. The
Joint dialog has the motion type, angle, offsets X/Y/Z, flip, per-value limits and Animate (the
preview plays the motion); joints and drives preview on the placed model (world states).
Drive Joints moves live with a slider. Interference lists the overlaps and shows them red.
Joints appear in the timeline and in a Browser Joints folder (edit, drive, suppress, delete).

SHEET METAL tab in Fusion's layout: Flange (base, edge or contour, from the picks; height arrow
on the canvas), Hem, Unfold, Refold, Convert to Sheet Metal, Sheet Metal Rules (rule manager),
Create Flat Pattern (flat view with up/down bend lines, bend table, DXF export).

PLASTIC tab with SETUP: Boss, Lip/Groove, Snap Fit, Rest, Manage and Assign Plastic Rules; Rib,
Web and the shared solid commands on the tab.

Every feature dialog has live preview, Edit Feature and pre-selection; icons drawn in code.
Toolbar layout per tab in workspace.rs; tests for the dialog to command mapping.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 7f9a8f2afd Two-entity constraints move only the second pick (tangent, parallel, perpendicular, equal, concentric, coincident, collinear, symmetric, midpoint): the constraint is applied with the first entity held (solve_holding), the second keeping its size where it can (lines turn and slide, circles translate), then resizing; if the second is fixed, projected or fully constrained the first moves instead, and if neither can the constraint is refused and nothing changes; later solves hold nothing. Context-menu constraints keep the selection order; a curve picked before a point puts the point on the curve

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 7382ebd6e8 STEP export: Fusion round-trip fixes (sense, analytic surfaces, horn torus)
- Surfaces of revolution follow ISO 10303-42 strictly in reader and writer: the
normal is d/d(angle) x d/d(profile), the opposite of truck's revolution, as
Fusion reads it (fixes Fusion inverting fillet sphere corners and the dimple).
step_orientation_errors flags faces whose loop runs clockwise round their
normal; engine, oracle and kernel round trips assert it.
- Revolved faces with analytic profiles are written as native PLANE,
CYLINDRICAL/CONICAL/SPHERICAL/TOROIDAL surfaces, and the pieces truck splits
a revolution into are merged back into one face per surface (with a seam
edge for full turns), so face counts match other systems.
- A horn torus (tight sweep: tube touching its axis) is written as one rational
B-spline face whose loop passes the pole twice, with truck's zero-length pole
edges collapsed, instead of a degenerate surface of revolution; the reader
starts such figure-eight loops off the pole (Fusion's own part 50 now imports
  with the right volume).

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 a6dc759a02 Fix: rectangles over-constrained after an edit (dragged sides collapsed)
Parallel and perpendicular residuals were the cross/dot product over the sum of
the line lengths, so the solver could satisfy them by shrinking a line to
nothing. Dragging a corner of a rotated (3-point) rectangle collapsed a side to
zero; every later dimension then conflicted. The residuals are now the sine or
cosine of the angle (over the product of the lengths), which shrinking can't
improve. Tests drag, dimension, pin and square center, 2-point and 3-point
rectangles and check their degrees of freedom; oracle unchanged at 53/66.
