jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 96c9992c92 oracle: 2D cases (Kirsch plane stress, Lamé plane strain and axisymmetric, rotating disc and cylinder, NAFEMS LE1 with quad8) and J2 uniaxial explicit
The pending 2D LE1 case becomes a real one; the plasticity cases stay
pending with what they still need (static J2 for the collapse pressure,
the transcribed measurements for the Taylor bar).

jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 84e81acf3a mesh.block: 2D patches (quad4, quad8, tri3, tri6) with arc and ellipse edges
A four-sided planar patch at z = 0, meshed by the Coons transfinite
interpolation of its edges for plane stress, plane strain and axisymmetric
sections: the elements fill a named face of the body, edges and corners
carry names, patches join edge to edge (the join check treats the edges of
2D elements as their sides).

jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 ca02c01e1f oracle: re-bless the explicit cases after #42
The large-deformation explicit core of #42 (objective stress rates, updated
kinematics) moves the bar wave and rigid-wall impact results by a few 1e-4
relative; both still pass their references (u_end 0.034%, rebound KE
-0.54%). Fixtures updated deliberately for that change.

jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 6dda34e837 simplify: joining in modelcraft-mesh::join, shared label helper, run_script returns step outputs
Weld and face-to-face check move from the mesh.block command to
modelcraft_mesh::join (bounding-box-limited weld, grid-binned hanging-node
test), for node merging and imports to reuse. mesh.block and
mesh.tet.generate share fresh_labels. The block map evaluates each edge
curve once per lattice parameter; vector helpers come from vec3; tet10 and
hex20 mid-side nodes follow ElementKind::edges. Session::run_script returns
each step's output, which the oracle reads instead of its own loop.

jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 6d9452ad84 Verification oracle: tests/oracle cases, cargo xtask oracle, fixtures, docs/oracle.md, CI job
The oracle binary (modelcraft-testkit) runs each case's recipe through the
command engine, measures its quantities by JSON pointers into step outputs
or commands, compares them with the cited references and the frozen
fixtures, and writes docs/oracle.md. 20 theory cases (patch tests of every
solid element, Timoshenko cantilevers, Lame, Kirsch, beam frequencies,
torsion and bending through couplings, explicit waves and impact, CDT
invariants), 8 published benchmarks (MacNeal-Harder patch, straight and
curved cantilevers, thick cylinder, Scordelis-Lo with solids, NAFEMS LE1,
LE10, FV32) and 10 pending cases with citations.

jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 a3cb6d749b mesh.block: mapped hex, tet and wedge blocks with curved edges; solve.probe at points
A structured mesh of a six-sided block from its corners, with circular
and elliptical edges (Gordon-Hall transfinite interpolation), grading,
named faces, edges and vertices as geometry tags, and joining to the
existing mesh face to face (refused otherwise). solve.probe takes "at"
points and reports the nearest node with a result.

jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 50764def18 Explicit X2: large deformation, J2 and Johnson-Cook plasticity, damage and erosion (M10)
- model: materials gain solver-neutral plastic (bilinear isotropic/kinematic,
hardening table, Johnson-Cook with adiabatic heating), damage (Johnson-Cook
D1-D5) and erosion (plastic strain); explicit steps gain nonlinear_geometry
  (default on) and stress_rate (jaumann | green_naghdi).
- fem: rotation (Hughes-Winget, Flanagan-Taylor), plasticity (radial return,
capped bracketed Newton for Johnson-Cook, damage; the update takes the
mechanical strain increment so thermal strains can be subtracted), closed-form
  hex8 gradients for deformed configurations.
- explicit: updated Lagrangian hex8/tet4, per-element material state, erosion
with reported energy, plastic work in the energy account.
- solver: warns that the linear solver uses the elastic constants of plastic
  materials (results hash-identical).
- decks: Abaqus *PLASTIC (+ Johnson-Cook keywords), Nastran MATS1/TABLES1,
  LS-DYNA *MAT_PLASTIC_KINEMATIC / *MAT_PIECEWISE_LINEAR_PLASTICITY; what a
format cannot express is reported as Unsupported.
- engine: model.material.plasticity, model.material.damage (catalogue ready),
explicit element probe, eroded elements in the solve summary.

Step commits before the rebase onto the DOF framework: branch explicit-x2-steps.

jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 f181c98b75 Face-tagged 3MF exchange: format spec, reader, geometry.import.mesh
docs/formats/tagged-mesh.md defines the exchange: 3MF Core with an optional
ft:face attribute per triangle (and ft:faces per object) in a ModelCraft
namespace. modelcraft_geometry::tagged_mesh::read_3mf reads it from bytes
(wasm), capping every size and count and range-checking every index and
coordinate. geometry.import.mesh adds the surfaces to the session, which keeps
them beside the open design and restores them when a command fails.

jyvikoandClaude Opus 5.5 b64ec3f698 ModelCraft foundation: workspace, quality gates, FE model, command engine, geometry boundary
A pure-Rust CAE modeling workspace following the SolidCraft conventions:
- modelcraft-model: nodes and elements by label with hostile-input validation
- modelcraft-geometry: SolidCraft's kernel (pinned git dependency) behind our own API;
tessellation into a face-tagged boundary surface for volume meshing
- modelcraft-engine: CommandSpec registry, Session::execute with rollback and panic guard,
  scripts and a journal
- modelcraft-cli: list commands, run scripts
- xtask: layers (only geometry may use solidcraft-*), assets, licences, tests, wasm, ci
- AGENTS.md, architecture, ADR 0001 (libraries and licences), roadmap, CI
